Spam counter, end block strings with counter, and randomly slide in vt2 and hit buttons.
I see.
I donât typically play waifus but something about Kolin speaks to me. Might be the bum.
jesus christ did you see that chun St.RH speed? its no wonder they nerfed that into SSF4 but everything in this game looks hella fast if you play sfv lol
I donât think the English and Japanese VAs in this game get enough appreciation. The sound people over at Capcom are brilliant.
That describes my strategy pretty accurately.
I really donât mind fast dashes. You just gotta sit in the lab and learn all the animations. Otherwise even the slower dashes will wreck you. FFS, after some labbing Iâve been able to CH ken out of his dash-throw in a real match. Twice. And still Iâm free when Balrog does the same shit 'cause i havenât ever trained against him.
BTW browser reaction meters are bullshit adding couple of frames and making you think you canât react to stuff. I built my own reaction test. With blackjack and hookers. Now Iâm reaction king and my lab results like punching Bisonâs dash while itâs still invulnerable start making sense.
Anyway no reaction time will help you if you donât know how the thing youâre reacting to looks like. So itâs the lab FTW.
I would not mind them adjusting some of the animations. Mikaâs get up animation really messes me up, as i miss my meaties if i try to visually confirm she is getting up.
That would be nice. I fuck my visual confirms up a lot too. And when i donât it feels like it should not have worked.
Wake-up animations in general are pretty wonky in this game. Menat looks like sheâs still stretching on the floor by the time her hurtbox is in standing position
Thought I was the only one messing up meaties on these two thots.
Always felt like Menat wakeup recovery was just faster.
Got matched with two Sagat in a row, that matchup still looks pretty good for Falke.
Yeah my opinion of the character is starting to sour despite being a cool design. The lack for 3f and reversal on wakeup (besides super) doesnât seem to make up for all the other stuff he gets to have and it doesnât seem to matter much mid screen anyway. Canât really zone him because of V-skill being better than most anti-fireball v-skills and having his own fireball that becomes a free EX FB after 1 charge. Damage output and corner carry is ridiculous. He has good ranged buttons and a monstrous ranged command grab to keep you guessing. Heâs also harder to punish than I thought. I usually have to burn EX just to get a punish on block and my character has one of the fastest EX moves in the game.
His fireball after gaining a charge becomes a real problem imo as it beats normal FBs and if you do a bad jump trying to pre-emptively beat it, his B+HP anti-air combo conversions are amongst the most damaging AAs in the game. The fireball becomes like Menatâs st. HP. The only saving grace vs that is that if youâre paying attention, you can jump on reaction to the startup flash of him throwing the fireball and either get the jumpin hit or he wonât have time to anti-air you. This flies out the window once he has VT1 active though as can can just cancel it into V-Skill fireball if he sees you jump and get a full combo⌠this is a nightmare in the corner (I have labbed ways around this with Chun, but those are hard reads for the most part).
His VT1, simply put, lasts way too long. He legit gets 8+ uses of any enhanced special move (my friend didnât believe me at first until I made him count them) and these are all equivalent to EX moves plus the V-skill Fireball that is stronger than an EX move imo. I mentioned in the discord if you give that many free EX moves to any character in the game theyâll become a problem. This baffles me because other characters will only get like 2 to 5 uses at best with a 3 bar v-trigger and the moves arguably arenât as strong. He also gets to make all this stuff safe if it doesnât just flat out hit⌠what?
I think the battle designers overlook how this stuff would work out in the hands of a good player, it becomes too dangerous when utilized by them as even conditioned players are reduced to just guessing in nearly unavoidable situations with too much reward if the attacker is right and barely any breathing room if the defender happens to be right (see S3 Abigail, S2 Balrog). The playing field isnât level enough amongst the majority of the cast to let that kind of robbery shit fly.
I think they pull this to make sure the character gets plenty of exposure and develops a following⌠but then I see Falkeâs gameplay and Iâm not so sure anymore.
Stop complaining about G.
Yâall let that boy cook.
G Vt2 has ridiculous stun damage too. He can get 500-600 in a single combo. Another touch youâre stunned or dead anyway.
Edit: just realized G vt2 is a straight upgrade from balrogâs since he cancel from specials and normals, has enough range to never whiff AND gets armored command grab! Lmao
Make it so G loses 2 Presidentiality levels rather than 1 when he gets a knock down. /solved
His VT1 is basically Bisonâs VT1 on steroids, and he doesnât need ex meter for it to reach its full potential. Nerf its duration or usage count a bit.
âwaaah Sagat is good, but he is too honest for SFVâs metaâ
âwaaah G does what makes a character good in SFVâs meta. He is top 10, not top 3 or 5. Nerf himâ
Gee, guys, make up your minds about what you guys want.
âWaah guys stop making conversation.â
I donât see anyone asking for nerfs. Nothing is sfv needs to be nerfed. Just buff low/mid characters and let Fang be good!
Edit: minus Daemos.
Donât interpret wanting Sagat to have a few faster medium buttons and wanting Gâs v-trigger to be less retarded (or at least not last as long) as conflicting ideas in terms of making the gameplay more tolerable.
Iâm in favor of good neutral tools (which still work in this game) and not in favor of a comeback mechanic carrying that hard (literally from corner to corner too in Gâs case). I wasnât cool with that shit for Abi 3.0 or Balrog, why would I be cool with it now?
-People beg for Q to be in SFV
-Capcom puts Q in SFV
-People say he is OP
