Dude. Iâve lived here for five years now, and Iâve never seen people feel so personally attacked at the thought of even bringing up some sort of âgun controlâ the way some Americans do.
I just donât EVER engage in the debate anymore because it brings out the worst in people when you even suggest anything that remotely concerns taking away their precious guns.

Only thing that kept me together was that you dont actually see anyone get shot. Just unfortunately those screams sound like something i hear in an action or horror movie, but itâs not a movie. That was the part that got me the most.

We ask the opposite here in Brazil. How many people will have to die for them to give us a way to defend ourselves from the criminality.
In both cases, guns are just the tip of the iceberg, not the problem. There has to be rigid gun control, laws and whatnot, but removing guns (or allowing them in my countryâs case) isnât the answer. If we had guns here, the Maddeen guy wouldnât kill himself, he would accept the soft consequences, stay 3 years in prison, and get out for good behavior.

You guys get mad at gun laws here meanwhile some dude rents a truck and runs over london bridge. The violence gets shifted over. Thats all that happens. Not having guns in a high crime place is worse.
A town in Mexico actually managed to disarm some narcos and then used their weapons to disarm more. It got to the point where the town was armed. Drug dealers left then alone. Then the govt stepped in, disarmed the town and drug dealers came and massacred them.

I am all for access to guns, but you need hard yet sensible gun control laws that require a lot of mental evaluation tests, require that proficiency in the particular type of gun you are getting is acquired through specialized training before you are allowed to actually buy it along with gun handling training.
Not like in the US where a wimpy piece of shit that canât even hold a loss in a videogame can buy them.

Stabbings are, but how do you limit knives? All kitchens have knives that can stab people. Also a knife is much harder to actually kill somebody with.
Itâs not against the law to defend yourself when somebody breaks into your home, and it isnât unlawful to kill somebody defending yourself against an intruder.
How about doing even a snippet of research instead of just spouting shit you see across your news feed.

Man, this it hell on earth. Such stuff makes me wonder if the government controlls anything. If it does not itâs basically a civil war. If it does it probably has some proffit fom it. Anyway i probaly should stop arguing as iâve never been in such situation.
