SFV lounge: London we have a Problem X. SFV gave us the Burger King again

I had the same problem, just click the link and save every photo one by one like I did. The SFV hitboxes are all over the internet, just save the real important ones (Zeku).

Went through some of Bonchan’s tweets through auto translate.
One Tweet read: “I was disgusted being in the Netherlands”
… Oh right, he fought NL

Given the thousands of tournaments for all games that happen on a weekly basis, you are more than safe going to events. But this is going to place a really uncomfortable conversation about security at tournaments big and small.

Even though it leads to people getting called scrubby at times, you guys should really be thankful that a big cultural part of the FGC is venting when you lose/get mad. All the salty nonsense probably deescalates anger in a healthier way than all of the “eSporty” stuff nerds applaud. Wild stuff used to happen at arcades from what I’ve read. Thankfully modern FGC has been pretty chill for the vast majority of its lifetime (sans MvC2 thuggery).

Not too much is scarier when hearing screams that are real and not from some movie. The camera turned off the players right before it went down. Condolences to those lost and hopefully this is the last shooting we hear about from eSports. Just not something you should have to think about, but life is too real to not think about it.

People try to act hard at fighting game tournaments, but that’s all it usually is. I’ve heard of someone getting stabbed in Counter Strike with a screw driver, I know a guy got his eye put out when someone swung their stick at some major (was a KI player), Chris G real life parried Wolverine Master trying to swing his stick at him, but this is the first time I’ve heard of legit shots fired. Shots fired usually just a meme in FGC/eSports, but sad that it’s real now.

I haven’t been to any tournaments in a while, but sad that this makes racism in Daytona a cool breeze in comparison.

One of my friends said this was a spot his homies would hang out at to play fighting games every now and then.

Based on what I read, one of the players there was the shooter. He’s reported to be dead, but they’re not sure if there’s more than one responsible. RIP to the victims. Seeing lives end like that eats me up inside.

That situation was over a bunch of nonsense, not really game anger. Something to do with Wolverine Master and Chris G’s girlfriend (nothing involving any affairs or things of that nature). Lead to WM not writing for the SRK front page anymore.

Yeah, whoever switched the feed from the live cam to game feed is a very subtle real MVP. Avoided showing somebody’s loved ones getting shot on camera.

Digress though, let people get mad and teach them to move on. Its gonna do a lot for people.

Multiple people were killed, including a suspect, after a shooter opened fire during a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Fla., according to witnesses and police.

The shooting was partially captured on a livestream of the Madden NFL gaming tournament at the Jacksonville Landing. Gaming has become increasingly professionalized in recent years, with gamers taking on public personas similar to professional athletes, and such events are often followed on video and via social media.

The shooter was a gamer who was competing in the tournament and lost, according to Steven “Steveyj” Javaruski, one of the competitors.

The shooter “targeted a few people” and shot at least five victims before killing himself, Javaruski told The Times in a direct message on Twitter. The gunman killed two or three people “that I saw,” Javaruski said.

In a public tweet, he added that he was escorted out by police after the shooting.

“I am literally so lucky,” gamer Drini Gjoka said in a tweet. “The bullet hit my thumb.”

He added: “Worst day of my life.”

The shooter:

New: The Jacksonville gunman was a gamer in the Madden tournament who lost, and he killed himself after opening fire, another competitor tells me.

White people are crazy.

@trife88 You called it. Too coward to turn himself in. Can only let the gods and spirits judge him now.

It’s one thing to rage quit online, but to quit life and quit other people’s lives over a loss that you can learn from is terrible shit. Too much 2018

This generation is mad af. Most of 'em are too sensitive/soft to accept when the things aren’t going well. Condolences to the parents and friends of the losses.

Which is why I said earlier that the venting after losses process in the FGC is really good for it. Forgot what was I reading that discussed participation trophies and the real issue with them. Part of playing is learning to win and learning to lose. When you take out the bad feelings from losing, you’re doing a massive disservice to children. They just don’t learn how to cope with losing/failure in a healthy way.

I forget how much improving in fighting games relates to real life until things like this happen. Good to remember that you trying to git gud in fighting games can also help you with being a gud human being (if you have the right people talking to you and guiding you).

Ridiculous. Tourney is the last place I’d expect to get shot. And my scene is one of the most rowdy scenes out there.

This is some shit. I went past there just today.

As a Brit that moved out here to Jax a few years ago, this terrifies the hell out of me. My condolences to all the families of those affected. Just plain sad.
