So they nerfed Cammy crossup AA, added 3 frames recovery on st. Hk whiff and v-reversal is -6 on block!? Yikes yikes yikes.

Street Fighter 5 was garbage at release and it got a free pass.
It’s a fully priced game that has shitloads of paywalls for all cast,grindy FM, nerfed the FM gain,added ingame adds, added a rootkit for PC users,PC port did not have keyboard support for 2 years , it did not recognize most well known sticks / pads for a very long time and the list goes.
MK is far from perfect really,but it gets a lot of shit for less things while SF should get more shit for what it does / does not do.
SFV ain’t get no free pass. It’s punishment was the shit sales it got a few months after release.
In terms of press coverage, the game got slaughtered to hell and back.

Compared to some games it really did in my opinion.
I prefer SF to MK but that doesn’t mean i will blindly defend it tbh.Capcom did a lot of dumb stuff.

Eh, the 1.4 million sales months after its release (falling short of its 2 million projection) seems to indicate the game didn’t get much of a pass. Even though I’m a fan of the game, I can admit they bungled the fuck outta the game on release.
I’m more hurt by what happened to MVCI, since that game should’ve been much better off than it ended up being.

I get where you’re coming from. Design sruff bothers me a lot too. But its also MK. This is a game where outfits make little sense 95% of the time.
So you take the wtfs with they whys when it comes to it.
Lack of X Men and the graphic style killed that game.
Let’s face it it looked bad compared to previous titles.And while graphics don’t make a game, it’s a huge selling point for a lot of people.
Man S4 is code for Grappler Season. Shit has been rough lately. Sakura and boxer don’t do well against any grapplers except like Alex or laura(if she doesn’t get to pop off).
Like geez, feels like Cammy doesn’t even hang with em besides Laura and pray she keeps Mika away.

Yep. And the game looking the way it did (ie similar to Marvel’s mobile games) honestly seems like an intentional design. I remember reading an interview awhile back that basically said Marvel pushed for this look…and it honestly makes sense. Shit roster and ugly aesthetics killed the game.
