I was a contributor to their website about 12-13 years ago. Used to write all sorts of articles about the Alien films. But I was a regular of their rival website’s community AvPNews instead.

I still follow their group on Facebook. They’ve done a lot of good for the community since then.

I’m always ahead and if by some disruption of the natural cycle I lose I will beat the shit out of whoever beat me the next time we play

Also link me the matches I’ll watch

Thought you’d see it but I guess I should’ve just tagged you and Highland

Not sure how it is for you, but it is laggier than an AOL Connection with me.

Judging by those vids it appears menat has st.hk aa, cr.hp aa, cr.lp aa, and they never traded, they all won clean, this is why i have no idea how to fight against menat, she outzones you and the second you try to jump in she chooses which button to aa at her discretion.

That one set you won out of 8. You want me to get it framed , stick it on yer wall!

Also @akhos it’s easier to critique the loser. For get the tables couple obvious things stand out. Always starts hit confirms with a jab into medium or medium kick which is severely limiting any follow ups or hit confirms. Particularly when he’s not thrown you once ( or even attempted) in the four matches I’ve watched so far.

Better to go for medium medium confirms.

I’d also like to see more spammy special movies thrown out to see if you can actually punish it. Gs spin kick can be spaced, and even if not it’s a sticky punish sometimes. Better to chance that than to keep jumping to get in.

I’ll watch some more.

The G was pretty free you pressed stuff and he had no momentum which is what G thrives on. He had to go unga unga vs Menat but he sat back and let you control pace, no constructive feedback to give you did enough to win

OHHHHHH counting the laggy sets from your sisters house are we Mr invisible jump and instant fucking tiger shot

No not counting those! Your ass was bigger than a rock melon after the first proper session!

Ima upload all the 5-1s and link your YouTube on my channel for this insolence!!!

We could have been gods !

And I’ll upload that final victory

As he felt defeat closing in, he packed his bags and booked the first express flight home

When he closes his eyes he still sees Cody coming at him full speed glowing yellow

Ha ha, actually I went to my bed I was fucked.

We shoulda did one more day, once you’d adjusted. I messaged you that morning but you were offline.

Prolly drunk yourself silly cause you best the best player over 38 in the entire world.

Til next time (2 years?!) SF6

Oh I know, I wasn’t expecting any feedback for myself there. Those uploads were for tables 'cause I asked if he wanted me to put some of the matches up~

Thanks for the feedback. My time with G at that point was really limited (and still is) so I’m mostly just flailing my dick around hoping for the best. There is a ton of fundamental stuff I will need to clean up. Rewatching the matches is straight painful.

For Spin Kick I’ve definitely been trying to use it but the issue I ran into with Menat is that her damn orb normals make it so that he gets hit out of it more often than I’d like. Still worth working on though.

One thing I did notice that I didn’t really capitalize on his that Akhos just stands around or walks back and forth a lot with Menat. So with G if I threw out a Smash Under or EX Smash Under it was virtually guaranteed to hit. Should have used that more as even if it gets blocked Menat’s non-VT1 punishes aren’t that bad.

Likewise after a blocked jump in a lot of the time he’d block the first attack then backdash, at least with Menat. I sort of started to get it as the matches rolled on but I never did call him out on that other than low impact secondary normals.

Back to Frost’s point I was playing so far back because I don’t know how to fight Menat and my attempts at unga just got me bopped (not that this is a good reason). I sort of brain lock as to what to do to cross past the st.MP range without jumping like an idiot.

The one thing I was trying that kinda sorta worked for a bit was to use that space to get easy Prez levels but I rarely ended up doing much with them because, well, I couldn’t close so I’d just piss fireballs for a bit and spam spin kicks and hope for the best. As the tapes show, didn’t work out so well long term. :upside_down_face:

GG’s Pertho!

@Doctrine_Dark

This is a terrible ass match up on top of it being hella laggy on my end. Other than playing like a brute, I’m not really sure wtf is Zeku supposed to do against Cammy. She doesn’t have shit to be afraid of in the match up.

It’s actually going to be SF6 ffs lmao, think I went out with mates at early hours and didn’t get back til like 5am so I was fucking dead by time you were ready to play

G just has to take risks, or moreso - everyone has to take risks into Menat

She’s a character that forces the jump, you aren’t fucking with her disjoints that recover nearly fuckin instantly

G spin kick
Jump
When you get VT1 ex dash low VTC for instant momentum
And if the Menat is playing super passive fullscreen like Will was, fireball xx charge level or raw level charges, you’ll get away with a bunch.
