SFV Lounge: Ken is high mid. Kage is barely mid. F2P still coming

She can EX something or other and they improved all of her normal anti airs. You’re just making shit up now.

Of those i agree that zeku’s perhaps shares most similarity. I think they have similar purpose in the comeback factor. But one’s built into a character’s design/strategy. As in you need that v trigger to actually use the character to full potential, even the cancel you get out of it’s important. Critical arts dont add that to your game. In all cases you could look at them literally just as a damage boost. You dont need it most of the time considering what your sacrificing in place.

I agree, they probably won’t do it. But that is about the simplest thing I can think of that would dramatically alter and improve the game.

what do you mean by install trigger?

Basically none, but need doesn’t have that much to do with what we get. How many of those characters need new alternate costumes?

One small thing you guys are forgetting is chip kills. A lot of the grappler characters can’t chip you out with CA. Like I said it’s a small thing but I wanted to point it out.

They function like an install super.

Basically instead of an attack they power up your character.

Example: sei-ei enbu is an install super.

The phrase comes from dragon installation from guilty gear. Not sure why that one got to codify things but… shrug

Just make Gief’s VT1 two bars and all will be well in the world.

You have a fair point, however some characters do indeed need some new supers.

Juri for example, since you mentioned her as well i would love a super that’s not just a big fireball damage dump.

As she is a taekwondo user i think a super where she does some sort of high speed KI kick would suit her quite well.

Something similar to her OVA kick she does.

Well, in the spirit of that- Alex could use a fast grab. Gief doesn’t need much, but a new animation would sure be welcome.

And Fang needs AHVB.

Install was another term created by anime players to describe activations. Based off the Dragon Install super that Sol Badguy has that gives him new properties and turns him into demon looking dude.

I’m sure Vega players would like a CA with start-up invincibility.

We would, but it’s pretty obvious he isn’t supposed to have one if it hasn’t been “fixed” over 3 years into the game.

Vega still has 10 years to pay for his ST crimes before he is allowed a CA with start up invincibility.

Best install was Negro Install.

Don’t @ me.

Tbf i think almost every character has a utility and a install v trigger now and the two overlap quite a bit. Utility v triggers may be similar in terms of you get a damage dump but with critical arts it functions differently. Whilst with utility v triggers you have to create the situation to make use of it (due to timer), with ca’s you wait for the situation to develop itself.

Someone jumps at you, you cancel into v trigger or if you have reaction unleash damage dump with ca. With sakura or cody’s 2nd v trigger for example you gotta chase that person down to make use of it, right?

They do, and the install trigger in almost universally better because of the VTC activation

Yeah I’m making shit up, but I still want second supers any way. Second Ultra wasn’t life changing for a lot of characters, but at least you get new cinematics and ways to show off the personality of the characters. Casuals like cinematics.

People loved Juri’s Ultra 2 just because of the way it looked even if it was pretty boring to utilize. Viper’s Ultra 2 was beyond useless, but hey it looked cool AF.

Does Fang being able to fly make him top tier? Nah. Is it cool that he can fly any way, yeah.

Juri ultra 2 was inferior to her FSE, that’s a given.

But far from useless, i loved to fuzzy guard into dive into ultra 2.

FANG’s flight doesn’t use meter. Think at this point people are just tired of the characters because they’ve been playing the same for 4 years straight.

Not really sure that secondary supers would fix that situation.
