@DevilJin_01 Things are going really well. I have a good team of 3 other TOs. This means that emegencies get covered and lessens the burnout I had. Because of random things happening I came back to the FGC to soon after a hard break I took, so my mind wadnt in the right place. That made the burnout incredibly real. Because of that I’ve been working on minimizing the stress on myself amd expanding the TO pool. Thats done a lot to help. Also streamlining some of the work flow stuff for week to week stuff.
The smash TL;DR is gonna have to wait a bit. There are some mistakes on my end and yhen some cultural stuff (comparing mtg to fgc to smash community) as well as some insights for people who want to jump start their scenes.
So give me a bit on it. Rather you guys something worthwhile to read than some gibberish.
That is something I dislike about SFV.
Perfects feel so easy to come by. Or to take.
A lot of times it is a matter of punishing one mistake or making that one said mistake.
The answers to both of those is, nothing different has changed. Perfects are neat, but ultimately mean nothing if the one getting perfected has ANY semblance of mental toughness to them. In every game, so many times we see a player getting a Perfect and then losing the set. Too many times have I seen people play far too timid once the opponent is near death and leave themselves open to an aggressive comeback because they’re too busy looking for one touch.
Wong finally on TV with Maynut. Real good call to jump over after getting John comfortable hitting buttons in the corner. Don’t think he’s gonna get past Cammy or Ibuki, but we’ll see.
