Obviously I could just not be in on the joke (and in case it is, I was pretty entertained) but is that video indicative of how you actually think of your match replays?

Yes

I’m not very good and shouldn’t delude myself into thinking otherwise

Even if you say you’re trash, just being in Platinum puts you in the top 3% online. That counts for something right??

Have you tried the  button?

Was sfv streamed for North west major? Is there even a stream in the first place?

Seriously though, Cody is way hot in SFV. Like he was always a cutie but Capcom took it up a few notches.

Played Brian F last night and lost two really close games. I nearly had them both. What made the difference was my lack of trust in my hit confirms. I ain’t mad. Losses like that make me want to be better. His Boxer is really good. Out of all of the Rogs I’ve played, only Smug and Brian will consistently interrupt and punish Cammy’s MP blockstrings with target combo. Made me have to change up how I applied pressure.

Well sure, but how do expect to get better if you think that even when something works, it shouldn’t have?

I’ve seen many guys fall into that pattern where they believe that because every decision they made wasn’t 100% on the level, they aren’t getting any better, and that’s nuts. If you truly think that, then you’ll continue to second guess every decision you make, halting your progress.

No player could explain every thing they did with a concrete reason, you just feel it most times. When you hit those EX Psy Uppers, some part of you must have felt that was a good move, and if it worked, well damn, good shit. If it didn’t, eh, you can’t be right all the time.

“Smart play” 99% of the time is capitalizing off the chaos of any match better than the other guy.

“I’m sad Cody’s coming out tomorrow, because it means I prob won’t play Falke for a while”

This is a feeling I had today and I’m not sure why.
Maybe because she’s the first lame character I enjoyed playing, after the initial hurdles.
The initial hurdles being she sux

I’m dead fam

Poor decision making, not thinking at all when playing and just constant auto-piloting without taking risk-reward into account. Factors I’m trying to fix, and just because I hit with an EX Psycho Upper doesn’t mean I should have gone for it.

I just do things without adapting to the opponent I’m playing so of course I’m gonna lambaste myself for constantly mashing on EX Psycho Upper against everyone.

Menat isn’t lame enough?

I’m not saying your gameplay is low key brilliant or anything, I’m just trying to say don’t get too hung up on the cognitive aspects of it all. Intuition and not showing your ass are more important than trying to get caught up in your own decision making, so don’t just throw away all those EX PK reads as horseshit

Ultimately it’s a cycle. As someone gets better you tend to overthink.

I know that for me, the times I play the best, is when I just stop trying to find analytical solutions and just simply play the game. Not turning my brain off or anything, but just…playing.

Cody has some zoning.

Looking forward to sticking it to all the day one Codys. Got my lvl 50 color 15 for Falke so I can scare people with the fact that I have played Falke as much as some of their mains.
