Nah dude, the reason people take competitive games seriously is because they get a sense of joy playing them, and then the competitive aspect comes from payoff of putting time into something you enjoy and seeing that improvement.
Going into the game only thinking about being competitive takes away so much of the journey.

Gitting gud is important. Plus you’re better than some people that are more optimistic than you are so at least you got that going for you.
Sucks when I watch a random stream of a person with a name and they’re still in rookie or bronze. With like no real care or drive to rank up from that.
My scene is incredibly close at being able to put together small regional tournaments. We got over the monitor threshold, now we have to figure out how many systems we can have the community lend for a tournament with games to take care of the logistics.
After that its finding a way to get money for pot bonuses. But having the monitors covered is was one big step on the ladder. Had a local guy donate two BenQ RL2460s (now we can run tournaments with 5 of these suckers) because he felt he needed to give back.
Its a good day for this and an incredibly shitty one for that. I’ll take a bit of silly happiness.

Also here I think you could have walked backwards to create space for s.HP or V Skill instead of continuing to walk forward. She clearly wasn’t at range for cross up at the point that she jumped, but walking forward kinda threw yourself into that range.

Cause it’s Mika and covering all of her neutral bypass options fries my brain. I’ll admit with no shame my worst MUs are Mika at #1 and then Sim, Bison, FANG and Vega. Me being so scared to fight Mikas makes me forget how to play.
He was a smart player though, think we went 2-1.

A long while? There might of been an exception in the dark ages, but getting proper stats around that time is vague.
The difference in DBFZ VS SFV doesn’t really seem to be THAT far off, but is still an interesting milestone. Tekken 7 surprised me the most though, good to see that it has a larger turnout compared to last year.
T7 is in a good place when it grows by several hundred entrants in its second year. Which I’m happy about. It’s a good game, and one I hope will stay alive for a long while.
BBTAG doing so well is also a pleasant surprise, the game is very entertaining to watch.

With the known data that’s out there, we only know that mainline SF has been king since 2009. No idea about the pre SF4 days. I’m interested in knowing that stuff but I couldn’t find any official numbers anywhere.
So much for DBFZ’s “big lead” over SFV.

Meh, last time I just played for fun I just got ridiculed and eventually was barred from playing at one point because I was trash and should just “go play with the other casuals”
I was improving slower, so now I just focus on that. Need to get stronger so I can give everyone a good match.

I know Injustice 2 has to be there for the NRS rep, but geez…
happens when a company support its game with a own pro series.
would capcom do the same with inf the chance for it to be there would be much higher.
