SFV Lounge: It was coming and it CAME HOME. Ono is your Evo 2018 Chamion

Ftfy :coffee:

not anymore…at least they dont fund it anymore (based on them not being listed as sponsors anymore) but still get the benefit of people playing on the ps4.

For real. KOF XIV might be my main game instead of SFV if the online experience wasn’t so shitty. The game itself is awesome and is more fun than V in a lot of ways but horrible connections combined with a fairly small population killed the game for me. I still do love the game though and watch it all the time.

I like KOF14 just no one plays it. The delay code wasnt too bad when you got a good connection but the bad stuff is typical input delay bad. Definitely have dealt with worse input delay but main thing is online became ghost town after week 2. Most people were only playing in the 6 player party battles for those 2 weeks so no way to grind the actual game online without inviting X other big fan of the game.

I don’t like KOF XIV. It is the first KOF with Geese that feels just bland.
And it feels off. And the online being dead doesn’t help either.

Here’s to KOX XV being more like XIII and being awesome so people will play it online.

capcom should use their partnetship with Sony and get Naughty Dog to tell them how to optimize for PS4.

I’m surprised people are still trying to figure it out and/or bring more light to the situation.

We knew about Japanese Wizardry since day one. Also online anything never matters when it comes to Capcom. If I still see 5-10 people still playing SF4 with it’s netcode then SFV players will be just fine :^)

If I had one suggestion for lag/rollback issues I would like for Capcom to point and laugh at us like they always do by giving us a a option to hold 3K+3P during a laggy match. Holding 3K+3P for more than 5 seconds will have your character flick off your opponent then you instantly drop out of the match.

this is happening offline as part of the games inherent delay so I mean…

DJ, don’t try to downplay it as “It’s only because of Input Delay”. That shows you either didn’t pay attention, or just didn’t care.

The online flat out DIDN’T WORK for the first month or so. I don’t mean that the connections were bad. I mean that you outright could not play the game online in basically any capacity. Ranked didn’t work and by the time it did, obviously it did become a ghost town. Lobbies were bugged as well.

Players fought through offline issues too. It’s been how long now 2+ years? Man, people are just getting fed up with losing so now they’re back backpedaling onto old hot topic issues like rollback and lag.

I know what’s really going on, it took them 2+ years to finally realize SFV is shit.

Give it some time and the hitbox crap will pop back up. Everyone just needs to shut up and eat the shit we call SFV and give Capcom more money. It’s too late to complain. We are going to get Season 4 9 and you’re going to rike it.

Just saying you made it sound like it was about online, when this input delay test and the aforementioned 8 frames of delay were apparent both offline and online.

Pro players already made enough statements about how input lag can define a meta and limit their ability to react to things, both in Tekken and SFV.

I’ll be honest, I only read 1 comment and made a shitpost :^)

We’ve had this debate before which is why I feel like it’s pass the point to bring it back up since I really don’t think Capcom will do anything. But hey if y’all come together like Voltron and make Capcom update their “netcode” then I hope for the best…

It really shouldn’t matter if the main topic is offline issues now…it should all be taken seriously since one of Capcom’s selling points was about online CPTs n stuff.

THIS is what really happened…all you shills who bought every thing Capcom threw at you are now realizing none of your donations actually improved the game :^)

You gave Capcom money so they can make more Cammy outfits so you can buy those Cammy outfits so they can make more Chun-li outfits :^)

This info is new,

the game is fluctuating from 4.5f of input delay to 7f on a fixed rotation.

That’s a 3f differential dependent upon an internal clock within the game. Pretty sure anyone will say that’s not acceptable, and adds a later of RNG to the game. There’s a difference between sloppy/delayed and straight up inconsistent.

I think all the well known voices of the FGC should show this to Capcom. We demand a answer to be quite honest.

Edit: Oh wait I’m a PC :^^^^^^^^)
Edit 2: Wait that’s not funny at all because it still effects me. Also it’s probably a Sony issue no?

What in the actual fuck!? Seriously I’ve never heard of something ridiculous. What the hell is going on at Capcom? I guess Inafune wasn’t full of shit when was saying how far Capcom was behind Western devs from a technical standpoint.

Technically the game itself is cheating. They should ban console tournaments and force all tournaments to be held on PC like Valle prophesied.

It’s not acceptable, it shouldn’t be there, and Capcom really should fix it if they can.

But at the end of the day, it really isn’t deal breaking. If you like the game, it’s a factor you’ve probably already incorporated in your game play. If you hate the game, it’s another reason (albeit a pretty good one) to justify your dislike for it.

Case in point- ST had tons of random things going on, including random input windows. Even though Sirlin got to fix some of that with HD Remix, I’ve never heard anyone say that the randomness made ST a bad game.

I really want to test out low connection speeds vs online because last I remember Capcom said you should have 5/15 for online CPT events so I wonder how 1/10 or 1/5 feels because obviously having 100/500 means jack shat in SFV

Capcom should have done like Arc Sys and use the previous version of Unreal engine.

ST players stop playing a version of ST the instant the random damage isn’t random the right way.

They wouldn’t have given SFV 3 years like we have. They are stronger
