In all seriousness though, if you can’t find a FG that you personally like to play then you aren’t into FGs or you simply aren’t trying hard enough. Using “well, SFV is the best I can get right now” is just an excuse. If you have to make an excuse to play a game, you shouldn’t be playing it.

I agree about the mid range but my character got changed to Urien for gods knows why and Now I’m fine with it being messy. Yeah I pressed a button and yeah I got crunch cancered but aye I can do it to you to bitch!

I like VT because this is what I look like when I’m playing the game:
- Top 5 is absolutely fucked up but top tiers suck to fight in any game plus it’s fun bitching and moaning since we live a social media witch hunt knee jerk reaction age. So if I say Cody is too good I’m gonna let Capcom know in a 240 word angry tweet and I will be validated.
Like how dare people have good options only my character should be good.

It’s probably because I have low standards or maybe it’s because SFV is my first FG I’m taking really seriously but it feels damn sweet to win. The thing that keeps me in check is that I still lose allot. So when I do win and I know I won on decent play I feel like I earned it.
I’ve see allot of people saying it’s not fun to win in SFV and that they’re mad even when they beat their opposition easily. I say play Street Defender 4 you fucking limp wristed, grass fed soy boi beta nu-male.

If you don’t like watching top tiers like Ibuki and Guile press good buttens and shoot good fireballs, then that’s your problem. Ibuki and Guile deserve this. Guile has been mid tier for too long and he brings honesty. Ibuki is always cheap so go ninja.
The fuck you mean Guile has been mid tier too long? In literally every game he’s been in other than Alpha 3 or Marvel, he’s been top tier at least once during its life cycle.
SF2 is too old to count. CVS2 he was high mid at best, CFJ he was some mid tier at best and SFIV only had Super where he was theoretically top tier, but if the game was continued to play for another couple years he would have went down to mid easily. He was not going to survive that OS set play fadc heavy environment

Guile was fun to watch in IV, he had interesting stuff and the fireball wars were intense. I remember some of Dieminions matches, they were great.
In V he can literally just Sobat and beat every characters midrange. That’s not engaging to watch.

I’m still trying to figure out of Birdie beats Guile
It felt like 6/4 in favor of Guile.
I kinda agree, but I feel like Birdie has every tool needed to stay close to him while abusing the neutral the same way Guile wants 2
I won my last Birdie/Guile FT3 and I just stayed in his face and used Biride’s stupid crlp until I was able to score a knock down into derp
Edit: If I can corner Guile thats a good thing, same if he can corner me but I’m not mad at 6/4

Ranked started poorly with two laggy Boxers on their own stage, but overall I won more than I lost and gave pain to a poor gold Mika and ended up with a 200 LP net gain.
I just wish people wouldn’t pick stages that cause their side to drop frames and cause desynchs. 
I am 170 LP from my gold rank goal. I should be able to get it tomorrow if I play patiently and don’t run into too many laggy opponents that cause my mood to go sour.

Birdie can definitely fight Guile. He has lots of good buttons to deal with his buttons and there’s a range where Guile can’t throw a boom without dealing with bullhorn or EX free willy through. It’s at best 6 4 for Guile, but Birdie’s button/CC game and corner push is too strong for it to be any more than that.
I really like the new animu options he has with the V Skill and that he isn’t played near entirely on winning from far/mid range anymore. He actually engages and turns life leads into bigger life leads with offense. The V Triggers allow him to take up new angles and flood the neutral in ways that he couldn’t before. It all takes him past the 2 special move press buttons in mid range character he’s been known for. Which has been tired and needed a shake up.
I dont think Sobat does enough damage even if it did beat everyone’s neutral. The scariest button that used to beat everyone’s neutral was Chun’s s.HP, but they nerfed it down in Season 2 so that doesn’t happen anymore. Guile isn’t going to beat Birdie or Falke throwing around low damage Sobat all day. It has to connect on counter hit at the right range to get anything scary. Otherwise it’s just a long whiff punisher that can go over some lows and stuff some crouching buttons. Never played in or seen any of these matches where Guile is beating the entire mid range of other good characters/good matchups with something as honest as Sobat.
The most dangerous mid range buttons tend to be buttons that are VTCable or cause CC. Sobat isn’t capable of either. I agree that his entire neutral can bust up some of the lower cast, but sobat alone isn’t dealing with any character that’s good or has a decent match vs him.
