Bison’s SFV CA voice acting needs the echo effect from the now defunct Puzzle Fighter mobile app. That would surely make him more competitively viable.

I hear ya. For a long time I told myself that if I could just break through Bronze/Silver I could get to the point where people started to really play the game the way I was expecting. Having played against Golds and Plats at this point and watched a good number of Diamond matches, I don’t think it ever truly changes.
I think most people that play online mainly care about winning and conflate that with getting better. So you see the same/similar tactics with characters as you go up the ranks but more refined. Partially because SFV doesn’t allow for a big variety in character application but also because I think it’s people refining the same stuff that works for them over and over.
Most online folks are just running their game and hoping it’s good enough to win then they move on. Sometimes you run into folks that you can tell are working a different angle and those can be really fun matches but they are unicorns.
I still have fun doing it but I’ve shifted to thinking of Ranked and Casual as just another form of practice. I think if you try to take that stuff seriously it’s a recipe for a stroke, between the hitchy netcode and the legions of nuts out there.

Season 4 will have transformations for each character.
New specials, new normals and new animations. Ryu will become Master. Birdie will literally throw a fucking boot at you. Akuma teaches Laura how to teleport. Abi gets a fireball made out of tires. Season 4 will be glorious. Edit: But seriously, Season 4 needs to spice things up.

Yeah, knowing Capcom that was a little hint for the future. I’d welcome new “kill this guy now” things but there’s still some more things they could flesh out.

The Juri that won is Geecko, he got to Grand Master online one or two months ago. I actually play with him in lounges from time to time.

What is your CFN ? I fight Geccko in ranked so if you play vs him, there is a chance that we would have played before.
