I wonder if Cody does gud against grapplers, Aby doesn’t count since he’s a dummy

He has frame one throw invincible 2 button move that connects outside of the range of most throws. Plus bad spray which kinda messes with wake ups and can convert on hit into combos. He’s got more to read with to get out of command grab crap than Bipson or Boxer who generally can only really backdash outside of jumping.

He bodies Gief cuz Gief will just never get near him and Laura and Mika while bad if they get in, still not bad options defensively in comparison to the worst and likely has real good neutral vs both. Mike can’t charge s.HK much cuz you can just V Skill blow it away on reaction.

Random question but does anyone know what hardware and software Smug uses to run his streams? Like the mic and camera and stuff.

So I moved down from diamond to super platinum playing Cody. Tonight I went on a 6 win streak. I’m starting to get good with him.

I’ve been doing dash x2 cr.mp on quickrise and St.mk on backrise

Cr.mp is at 6f and St.mk is at 8f with 3 actives, so if cr.mp connects meaty on a QR St.mk covers the backrise

Why does Juri have to store at all in this game

Because it was fun to do in originally but capcom probably (how can we make this more simple and easier?) This is what you got.

I miss being able to cancel one store into abother to build meter.Or to slice up fireballs 24/7…

In SFIV, Juri had an interesting risk/reward for storing. For example, storing a LK fireball meant losing your fastest button, losing your bnb starter and losing the ability to throw. in return you got a fast, +4 fireball. Also the push back on the store itself was enough to let her play footsies after.

In SFV, they simplified her, and in return, they fucked with the risk/reward of storing. Capcom seems hesitant to give her a 0/+ fireball. If she ever does get it, I bet it will come bundled with a nerf somewhere else.

It’s interesting to look at the frame data of different characters fireballs. You can see that Capcom thinks having to charge is significant, compared to the shoto “on demand” fireball. Juri sits in the middle. She has to “charge”, so it can’t be terrible, but it’s also on demand, so it cant be amazing either.

Guile’s sonic boom: 10f startup, 28f recovery, +2 on block.

Juri isn’t far off from that: 14f startup, 24f recovery, -2 on Block.

Ryu/Ken/Akuma: 14f startup, 33-34f recovery, -6 on block.

Sakura: 17f startup, 32f recovery, -8 on block.

Ibuki is top tier and can start the match with great zoning and pressure resources, which you won’t even use all of them sometimes.
Juri can’t start the match with combo fodders.
It boggles my mind.

Hmmm…looks like the war vets are out again

cool

Implying any country wants USA’s ‘‘help’’.

 at implying that NATO or the UN don’t come running to the US whenever a major military conflict happens. Hell the worst genocide of Europe since World War II happened in what used to be Yugoslavia. Which country did NATO and the UN rely on to commit the most forces air strikes. The UK? France? Spain? Hell any country on the same continent? Nope.

I’ll say here what I said before. Don Frye being Mike Haggar automatically makes that film good.
