With G’s vskill I guess he will be a bad matchup for Sagat , Guile and pretty much most fireball happy characters.

Hopefully Sagat falls in the line of Menat, Falke and Guile where if the character has strong anti fireball options you can still throw big nasty normals at them. He definitely looks like he has range again. Long ranged sweep and being even taller than Urien means he’s gonna have some buttons.

I’m legit pumped for G. Damn shame I won’t get to play him until we get back tomorrow but that gives the tech monsters a day to work.
Looking at his move list description on the CapBlog post he seemed to be a spiritual successor/predecessor to Q. Interested in seeing how they do it but primarily I’m interested in building presidential power and hitting citizens of Earth with command grabs.
Haven’t watched the intro vid yet but he seems like he has a fun momentum roll to him. If he gets going he seems scary but if he can’t get or maintain level 3 he may have issues (which can be fine with that archetype). Plus I assume his defense will be kinda poo outside of core system stuff.
I’m happy the Sagat faithful seem to be rewarded. I think he’ll still feel SF5’d - i.e. weird engine shit that makes him not play like 4 - but they seem to have gotten the spirit of the character right. Thankfully we won’t have to wait to find out.
Dropping both chars simo and today is a cool move. Gives us a chance to maybe see some of them in competition. Not a lot given when CPT is on the line but maybe more in smaller events. Or hell maybe Bonchan will mega grind Sagat and tiger shot the world.
