The G-Q thing just seems so deliberate, yet there aren’t any official links outside some visual similarities. I doubt G’s story mode will go into it at all though, unlike Zeku and Strider this looks to me like a mystery they don’t want to solve.

Just buy them for 5 bucks, 100K fight money is just too much of an investment for one character when you think about, especially now that there’s less fight money to go around. Besides, if you buy let’s say Sagat for 5 bucks, you’ll also get his battle costume + colors, but if you buy him with fight money, you don’t get the costume. (that’s how they get you, wink*)
I would say buy the season pass, but I wouldn’t pay more than 15 bucks for those things, maybe cause I don’t play the game much, not sure, but getting the season one/two passes for 5 and 10 bucks (respectively) in June was pretty nice during the summer sale for me. Next year just buy season 3 pass for dirt cheap in spring sale (or if an earlier sale happens) and you’ll get whatever characters and costumes you’re missing anyway, even the costumes for the characters you bought with fight money.
Just save your fight money for Extra battle (costumes) and fighting chance. Mark my words, Menat’s " Fighting Chance " game mode might not have a lot of cool stuff in it’s RNG pool now, but it will eventually as this game grows older.
ONLY DO IT IF WITHOUT A DOUBT YOU REALLY WANT THE CHARACTER, AND DON’T HAVE ANY WAY OF GETTING THAT MONEY, NOT EVEN YO MOMMA DONT WANT TO GIVE YOUR GROWN ASS THE MONEY, that’s how broke i’m talking.
