Yeah we’ve been doing Vegas stuff here and there. Been fun. Will be here tomorrow and that will be a more traditional Vegas day.
I failed at Casuals. I sort of expected more of a set up for that but it’s sort of wander up to stations and play whomever. Now I know for next time. Plenty to watch though so that was cool.
I’ve never rooted for Leffen before but I was cheering in my heart just so we didn’t get a bracket reset.
Melee will never die.
Long after the extinction of mankind and millions of years after the Sun swallowed the Earth whole before collapsing into a White Dwarf, Meele tournaments will still be held somewhere on some asteroids around the Solar System.
And the same top players will still be the ones winning. With the same exact characters.
I’m not sure you can legit give GO1 problems in DBFZ and be called “only decent” at that game.
I think this is the first time someone who’s not one of the five gods has won EVO. Props from going from “Godslayer” to being able to proclaim himself as an actual god of the game.
Yeah I’m not sure what his crying is about when it’s obvious he wasn’t going to get no super high placing in that shit. Sure his skill got him to almost beat GO1 and have the “most hype dbfz match ever” blah yeah, but only so much of your natural talent is going to immediately get you through in a different kinda game without really grinding. To me he’s kinda like what Sonicfox did in early SFV. Yeah sure he could get a high placing and do good, but it’s still SF and he’s still too focused in other things to be that dude immediately.
Like if Smash wasn’t notorious for being pissy about everything, didn’t have its fans shame people/disregard events because their top players use top tier and didn’t have people purposely stalling grand final matches, I’d give him a little more credit. Dude wasn’t making top 8 DBFZ regardless.
I think it will, but just don’t count on seeing a number higher than that on the main stream. Capcom has official streams on multiple platforms and multiple foreign language streams. You have to add them together to get a final number. Official stream will probably be around 170-180k at best tonight.
