The buffs didn’t really do that much tbh. You are over reacting. It’s not like the character is carrying people on it’s own. There is one Johnny in top 8 and it’s the best player in the world. And I agree with Jin.

I love seeing Johnny. Plus he was literally C tier in Accent Core so I think it’s his turn for the Arksys top tier rotation.

I learned a bunch about the Johnny matchup from this. Machabo spent a LOT of time making sure that even if Omito could get hits, he’d struggle with getting level 3 afterwards. Johnny destroys Ky if he gets to level 3, since Ky literally loses fS as an option now
Also Johnny’s stupid good, but he’s very hard to play. You don’t see him that much for a reason.

He was the character I was gonna play if I did pick up the game. Like execution, but its good to have an execution character has strong fundamental tools also. Playing shit like Viper is fun, but getting outbuttoned by everyone sucks. Was thinking about Zato, but he is legit a lot of damn work and seems to have fallen off.

Zato is actually easier than a lot of people think (read: people seem to think he’s completely impossible). His execution is just completely different than any other character in any other game, so you pretty much need to start from scratch regardless of how good you used to be in fighters before.
Not to downplay the fact that Zato is the hardest character in Xrd. Wrapping your head around two characters is the big challenge, and he’s mad volatile.

Zato’s execution is kinda overblown tbh. He doesn’t have any links or overly difficult combos. Negative edging your buttons needs some getting used to but it’s not the hardest thing in the game. The hardest thing about Zato (imo) is always keeping in mind where your eddie is and how to combine your attacks.
Oh and the fact that your normals suck, you have zero defensive options and 0 guts 
Zadi actually put Zato as the worst character in the game in his pre-EVO tier list.
