playing an honest game within V is just bad

unless your honesty becomes so strong it in itself becomes cheap ala Guile

Play like a complete asshole, but never ragequit. If you teabag, respect the counter teabag, never ragequit.

DP your opponent on their wake up and do it again, just never ragequit.

You know what you have to do: -2 and then EX DP.

I got to see what playing like an asshole feels like today with necalli. I feel dirty.

But so much less mental stress than playing Fang or Sakura.

Thanks man. I watched the fooage think I know where I mess up in the match up often. I jump way too much because I am scared of Ken’s run.

I have been trying to level up my Zeku game this was definitely one of the match ups that give me problems. As a former Nash main the Old Form was easy where I felt most comfortable with Zeku, so I never really learned how to do anything with Young Zeku except some very basic combos.

I always left a lot of damage on the table with Young Zeku. Never used st.mp x microstep x st.mp x st.hp into Hazanto juggle and ender. Never learned St. Roundhouse counter hit combos. I never used run stop shenanigans until today. Still working on consistency… But I learned a lot watching good Zekus like Unsung, Big Bird, and RB.

Unsung can only teach you that the only way to play Zeku is to do stupid shit and laugh as you’re playing.

For that is the greatest lesson to learn when playing Zeku.

Using Command Normal characters is just killing me.

Don’t be like me guys.

I lost to a Ken going completely ham in the first round. I’m talking run-cancels off jab.
Then he planted the idea into my brain that he’s a nut. So I switched to fundamentals.
Then he played super solid, I lost the 2nd round, and he ran.

Don’t think, feel.

I really hope season 4 buffs the shit outta all the characters below the top tier cause I’m honestly freaking tired of seeing Cammy. I tried to give this game a chance but I doubt it’ll have the same lifespan of SF4

I sympathize but unfortunately they’re never gonna buff all the bad characters in a big way. there are some they just don’t seem to like very much or want to be good (vega, alex, fang, ryu)

as well as characters like Sim who they keep buffing but in small enough increments that they’ll never make it to CPT winning level

Cammy will stay good but she’ll probably get some small nerfs (or maybe small buffs :upside_down_face:)

Fuck Guile.

Nerf Guile.

So I need specific situations where akuma’s VT1 air fireball is a problem. Because right now I’m messing around with it in training mode and I have a hilarious number of options to not deal with it.

Why are people letting akuma jump at them all silly and not doing anything about it?

I think part of it is people are accustomed to needing to be on the ground to anti air. Sitting still and pressing a button or special move to anti air is engraved into most people that only play SF. It’s only if you have background in other fighters where you learn that you’re not supposed to just sit on the ground and hit a button to deal with the air everytime.

Akuma traditionally takes advantage of the idea that anti airing isn’t just about sitting on the ground and hitting a button. In every game if you just sit on the ground and hit a button to try and AA Akuma, it’s not gonna go well. You need active AA in order to deal with Akuma. Although some characters do have better grounded/inactive AA vs Akuma than others.

Look, I need the specific instance because as long as I have meter or v-trigger:

I can flip through it, run through it, vt1 or vt2 (depending on the angle on this one), i can super it, DP trade with it, air throw if I read it, I can shoulder it for a juggle…

I don’t know what more a character needs to have against option.

In general I think his air fireballs are really weak compared to any other version of Akuma. They are good for this game, but yeah there’s a lot of options per most characters to deal with them.

Cammy was dominate for the 3 middle versions of SFIV and KBrad basically started his career with top tier Cammy in IV. Just how its gonna be. You always gonna see a character that fundamentally encompasses what is strong in SF. It’s not like Ultra gave you great alternatives to who you saw a lot. Ultra is mostly remembered for 2 or 3 characters that spammed up events and even when it’s played at a 2018 event the stream chat dies once Elena shows up and kicks everyone to death.

The only reason SFIV might have a longer life span is it had more extra versions released over its time. If Capcom gets SFV to 2020 like they say they will, that will be at least 5 of the 7 years that SFIV was around. Which at that point a sequel would likely be in the works any way.

I get that Cammy is just gonna be strong no matter what game she’s in, even in xmvsf or mvc2 she was good. I still till this day believe AE2012 was the best version of sf4 but Capcom went and killed their game off with USF4 with the inclusion of elena, red focus and delayed wake up (which also made Ryu obsolete)The thing that made sf4 stick around for so long is that the game had much more depth like a neutral game, real footsies and multiple ways to play a character. high level matches we’re enjoyable cause any character can make it into top8, years of streamed tournaments in both Japan and America are proof of that.

SFV is just so stale compared to older games I hate to be that guy in the forums but I can’t keep pretending like I enjoy this game.in this game you literally feel FORCED to play a certain way with no way of expressing your style or personality through your character, you can barely tell the difference from another player using the same character. neutral seems weaker in this game and footsie battles seem non-existent in this game as well, do you how satisfying it was to play Ryu in sf4 and whiff punish cammy’s who threw out cr.mk on reaction? You can’t even do something like that in this game cause of stubby normals and input lag.this game is extremely one dimensional everyone is gonna run the same routine, combo you to the corner, shimmie, fish for crush counters or be thrown to death.

I’m sorry for being a negative prick Everytime I post here ,I just want that rush and excitement that I got from older Street fighter game’s I WANT STREET FIGHTER TO BE GREAT AGAIN.
