i expect a G trailer at EVO , but do you people think Sagat trailer is out of the question ?
I expect at least a small tease of him.
No hate on G but Sagat would had been a much better reveal for an event such as EVO.

whys evo so late this year?
Because EVO Japan was just 5 months ago, spacing the main EVO event a bit further is for the better, otherwise it would make the whole thing less special since before it was only once per year
I could see the trailer featuring G and Sagat. It’d make sense for it to be structured the way the trailer was for Juri, Balrog, and Urien way back. Maybe they can throw something else in there, too.

My God…
WTF is going on with SFV today.Main menu + games run in slow motion. I encountered this a while ago and it went away after i restarted the game but not today it seems. Even reinstalled the damn game and nothing.

Alex is definitely not your kinda character. Especially with how he relies on trigger to get himself back in the game and improve his defense which plays against your honest style. Hopefully you at least activated trigger a few times this time because I’m sure he’s absolutely awful to play without getting trigger for those extra tools and defense.
This is what they revealed last year so…
It’s basically been 2 years in a row where they are adamant about revealing a toilet bowl worth of content at Evo. Don’t expect anything super important. Evo is usually just give someone a taste of a mid season CPT or character deal and then save the goods for later.
But last year Capcom didn’t have a wildcard like Sagat on their deck. The season is also further advanced this year with only two characters left, so there is hope for more than just a G trailer.
I am more eager for ASW announcements tbh.
As someone who knows Capcom can do good things, they had a lot they could have potentially shown when I was at Evo 2016 (Juri trailer, Urien trailer other things) but they revealed nothing except that they launched CPT costumes and revealed at the Evo panel things that wouldn’t be released until literally the next Evo.
Basically start off by not expecting much so you wont be disappointed if you dont get much. G seems cool though so looking forward to him

History has definitely shown that players should keep expectations low for anything big coming out of EVO.
Capcom probably figures that the SF5 tournament itself will generate enough hype that if they drop anything it can afford to be a lower run character. Save the big guns for when it’s more of a lull period. I honestly can’t say I disagree with that. Drop a G trailer now; Sagat will drum up his own excitement just fine.

No. Guile is a stupidly good zoner as is, he shouldn’t be able to recover from a bad decision at the last second with a cr.lp.

Somebody who hates Abigail would say Abi already has too many anti airs, too many neutral tools and too much pressure to just be able to hit s.lp at the top of the opponents jump. Just because they slightly mistimed their jump over your button doesn’t mean you can just swat them out of the air without even having to crouch. Least Guile has to wait for them to come down or figure if they’re going to dive.
The difference being that Guile’s ability to keep you out is already anywhere between 38,000 - 67,000x better than Abigail’s. Point being that he doesn’t need cr.lp AA, it’s just there to cover up his weak play. He already has a one button normal AA, he already has long range button AA, he already has frame 1 invulnerable AA (flash kick), if he’s playing so bad that you’ve worked yourself through his myriad other options, he should not have a panic button answer.
