Kolin is a fine addition to the franchise.

At least Kolin isn’t Laura.

Watching football was a mistake…

But not as bad as those VAR calls.

Shang Tsung seems very good and fun. Couldn’t be happier with his inclusion.

I also bring tidings from the future that the SFV dev team have heard your pleas for news, and will be proudly presenting the new stage, Flamenco Tavern WITHOUT the cage, coming in September. Stay tuned for more

The VAR calls were all legit. No more sketchy shit happening.

I see your plan now @Frost you built me up just to break me down

They haven’t been sent out yet sorry, you’ll probably get them at like 2am or something late cause Japan timezone

oh well im using my time constructively in the meanwhile

I just found a way in MK11 to make Kollector, the character that is widely perceived as the worst character in the game(and everyones wrong about that btw) do the thing that Cassie can do, which is the reason why everyone considers her the best character in the game. Which is full combo, into Positive restand into guess hit/throw mix.

Ah yes, the one where the ball bounced off a defender but it was still considered an offside was my favorite.

LOL

Cody can do that too and he’s bottom tier the proof is in the pudding

YT’s Roflcopter about to single-handedly change the meta.

Ehh still doesn’t make kollector the best or nothing. If he gets the combo and say gets the reset into throw, you only managed to do as much as like, Jacqui does on a normal combo :-0 But still its something and Kollector has some of the best normal and neutral in the game and he’s the hardest character to jump on because his stand 2 is silly.

I think SF5s problem when it comes to player growth and design is that for the casual player the easiest thing to do also happens to be the most powerful, thus you never really have to push yourself past the first couple of stages. You just stagnate at the entry point. That last 10% is so difficult it’s not inspiring to learn.

Personally I think SF5 is about as easy as you’d want, it’s actually in a good place, Its just they have the risk reward very unbalanced. There’s a version of SF5 in another universe with the exact same mechanics that’s incredible. The data is all just a bit whack in our version.

What would you change in this version of sfv?

Corner carry is way too large. You get what i would call a double payment. I threw a fireball ( or you took a jump in) , sure I deserve big damage , but I don’t deserve big damage AND now be in the corner which is possibly game. Not considering the difficulty of keeping control of mid range.

Is 130 damage AA harsh in terms of reward vs jump in power? Probably not, jump ins should be good. But a 250 damage combo and corner carry from one midscreen mistake ? Whack.

Ex moves are also too powerful. You should get plus on block or extra damage maybe even both. You shouldn’t get plus on block point blank , damage, extremely fast and V trigger cancel and instant recovery to boot. Don’t chuck on absolutely every bonus for one meter and say “but it cost meter” , not when the game feeds you meter like Homer in a donut shop.

Nobody should have a 15 frame dash, I think 17 is about the range of - this is really good, but not cheap as shit. Even 16 feels obnoxious. If people have 15 frame dashes it should be short. This point is contentious though, some people appear to like this crazy dash style.

Bear with me, I’m a bad player and slightly crazy.

I would make 2 “EX V-Skills” per character using moves generally locked behind the V-System.(Mostly some of the VT moves.)

The idea is to remove the whole “half of your character is locked behind VT” and actually give people options to use the V-Meter for something besides VT jank or VRs.

As implied, these moves actually would cost 1 V-Bar instead of the normal EX bar and count as specials in terms of cancelling.

That would just make the strong VT characters even more busted…

Imagine having to deal with Ibuki mix ups 3 to 4 times per round.
