I used to think that, but if I can’t DP anti-air or use his buttons well in neutral, might as well stick with Cody
Frost already gave me an earful about it
Backwalk is annoying to deal with sure, but having buttons in neutral that lead to something makes up for it (Ken needs bar and I can’t one-hit confirm)
What do I need to do, in you opinion, to improve up close offense. I realize I’m asking a “how to a beat you” question, but I rarely get any reward for being up close, and that’s a bigger problem in my eyes than others.
I do that basically during every blockstring and it beats everything you’re doing, stagger better or shimmy and I’ll be getting slammed for damage before you know it
(Although, the dummy options don’t really help you practice beating that stuff)
God I’m so fucking glad I’m not in a character crisis. Cammy was soo good for me to learn the game at a beginner level. Going from her to Kolin was fucking rough but I’m so damn glad I stuck with her. Cammy just feels lacking to me plus her air grab is vomit inducing.
Also watch the tapes and see what I’m pressing on defense and think about how to beat it
I’m usually doing the same thing repeatedly on defense (one of my weaknesses) so you should be able to spot the pattern and think of how to beat what would come out
