You need to add the option for nothing.
And maybe, an option for just characters but not any major change.

I find Fchamp toying with the hopes of the 5 cats that still care about mvci a little disgusting.
On the other hand, i find it delightful that he is still trolling those fools for not accepting reality.

Honestly, A Capcom vs Capcom game using the MvCI game mechanics or something akin to the CvS2 groove system would be the best direction for the next “dream match”. Capcom’s IPs are experiencing at an all-time high. This would be the wisest decision, and Capcom would have complete creative control with zero Disney interference. Also it would give us an opportunity to bring back Darkstalkers and give them the limelight they deserve.

Ideal scenario for Capcom’s fighting division IMO:

SSF5 - 2020
Dream Match - 2021 (Next Gen Launch)
Final SF5 - 2021-22 (Current/Next Gen Launch)
SF6 - 2022-23

It’s not akin to CVS2 system but a Capcom vs Capcom had been the talked of the town mostly and lately so it’s all up to Capcom.

I won’t even be surprised for a Tekken x SF or a Capcom X Namco as a surprised reveal since that’s been along with the talked and deal of the company.

Not really. A 7-8 year break between numbered entries is the norm for the series.

Yeap sf6 in 2022 sounds right. We don’t want Capcom to rush the game. It’s gotta be fully functional with lots of content day 1.

We’ll have ssf 5 in 2020 with a new mechanic and characters.

Sf6 will be announced in capcom cup 2020 with a trailer.
Season 6 in 2021 will just be a balance patch and character reveal trailers for sf6 throughout.

We haven’t got the champion’s CPT costume yet have we? Oh damn, that Evo announcement is going to be huge!

…and no sleep again…woke up after only 4 hours and couldn’t fall back to sleep. Didn’t even touch a game I just binge watched Gumball clips and went to bed

Gonna ask the doctor at work if there’s something I can take, I don’t know what else to do…

Has there been an insomnia discussion here before? Either way, I assume you’ve taken other steps before asking for pills?

if that happens I am learning Kekken

I’ve had the issue for several months now, though initially I’d just wake up in the middle of the night and then doze right off again. Still end up feeling tired a lot, but I could deal with it (though it ended up being just another excuse not to play ranked). I couldn’t find a solution then either.

Tried exercising more, tried making sure to relax before bed, tried going to sleep earlier, but nothing seems to help. And it’s just getting worse.

Figures it’s the week of EVO too…

Perfect timing! Got my vacation break starting on Thursday… Watching EVO and chill, focus more time in the gym. Good times.

I hope whatever DLC we get is rdy the next day (kinda like what they did with G/Sagat). So I can play and lab all week!

Getting back to @s from yesterday. I may have fallen into FE for 4-6 hours yesterday.

@Edmund I had to take a break from DQXI. Its a great game but it is looooong by my standards. Last game I played like that was Persona 5 and that took me legit 9 months to get through. So hopefully I’ll get back to DQXI at some point, but even if I don’t I’ve really enjoyed everything about it so far.

Also yeah Shining Force is amazing and I fuckin’ hate what Sega has done with it. Which is to say nothing interspersed with making random games with the property, sort of, just to remind me that it is dead and not coming back. :frowning:

@FlyingVe Shining Force is Sega’s answer to Fire Emblem. I didn’t realize that until I got older and discovered Fire Emblem, so I came at it backwards from how most people would have.

True to Sega’s approach to most things, Shining Force is a simpler game (no weapon triangle, simpler stats, no permadeath, can grind using Egress) but the presentation is really nice and it was very accessible for young me who hadn’t played a strategy RPG before. Big, colorful sprites for everything, lots of creativity in the character designs, and some really nice looking upgraded classes also made it a looker at the time.

If you want to check them out the best way to do it is grab the most recent Genesis collection and play Shining Force 1/2 on there. 3 was okay but I remember the American release was weird. It was a multi part game and we only got the first part so it feels like you are only playing the first third of a game (because you are).

If it’s started relatively recently you might want to get a doctor to look at it just in case, yeah.

Also “an excuse to not play ranked”? It’s actually an excellent reason not to play ranked. Or, rather, a reason to think about WHEN you’re playing ranked. If I play fighting games less than 90 minutes before I go to bed, I end up having sleep issues myself. Too much adrenaline and salt in my system.

Or just play Tekken. More Tekken is always good. :upside_down_face:

I’ve had the issue regardless of if I’ve played a fighter the previous night or not.

I more mean that 'cause I’d always be a little tired due to waking up in the middle of the night, I’d just say “well I’ll just play ranked when I’m fully rested” and just keep up the cycle of procrastination. On top of the usual excuses I’d make.

Now I feel so exhausted I couldn’t grind even if I wanted to.

If Tifa comes to Tekken I’d play it on a reg again
