I can say that Zero and Wolverine tilted me to no end because of how dumb they were made in MvC3.
Zero not even playing the same game as 45 other characters. Dudes out here trying to play Marvel and he puts you into some anime nonsense set ups.

With dps in the corner you can set that up deliberately. Sometimes I’ll do this if I think they are likely to jump out.
It’s a kinda two fold thing - you give up corner pressure , but you do remove yourself from a possible momentum swing ( v reversal, dp, opponent counters your shimmy, button etc)
Sometimes I think it’s worth it.
There’s an example of me doing this here at 28.00 minutes - if you listen to my voice I actually say “jump out” before he jumps , because I’m actually just waiting on that happening. I missed the first neutral jump ( not used to Akuma players doing this) but I snag the escape attempt. Basically I banked the round on that happening…
I guess what I’m saying is, not everything is a reaction when it comes to dps. A lot of em is two cars on a road playing chicken and you get ready for it.

Plus you get some good pressure from doing LL pause L for stagger pressure.
Took me only a year to realize that Falke can simply link into CA from standing shot instead of going for the cancel. I mean it’s super obvious from the frame data but it just never occurred to me before.
And in good old SFV fashion it’s not only easier to do this way but also does slightly more damage.
You got some godlike tech holmes, don’t tell me i can super dash any zoning attempts as well!

The difference is laughable (6 damage IIRC) but I take it. It will make all the difference when they give Kage 5 more HP in the next patch.

This is SFV, don’t try to make sense out of this game.
Standing shot has three hits but if you cancel it into Super, only the first two hits come out. With the link you get all three.
