This is true. That’s why I don’t see Capcom investing in new fighting games and instead will double and triple down on SF5 for a few more years.

Loving the collection! When do you have time to play?! I’m juggling work and school (will be done at the end of August), so right now real life is hittin me up on time.

I’m optimistic about Capcom fighting games moving forward. The MH guy, son of the CEO, is in charge of the fighting game division, so instead of the CEO giving another shoestring budget, he can go “daddy, I need more money” “ok, my boy, take another million”

Neutral matters in everything. But it matters less in sf5 and there are fewer neutral concepts be worried about in sf5. The charcters as an example rarely crouch in footsies. That alone makes “the neutral” in sf5 fucking horrid. Everyone is on iceskates like its kof.
Is it possible to crouch cancel a jump? Hitbox would be broken if so… you could just jump and crouch cancel to avoid throws…

The rest I just dabble in at a very noob level. I try to play the least played ones a little more during the school holidays (July- mid September). And that’s also when I do my film auditions and shoots lol.

Doubt it. Crossing gens usually axes a games community very hard. People won’t make the console generation leap just play the same game again. They’ll want something new, even an idiot like me can see that’s a great way to slaughter your IPs player pool.
Aside from that reply, I made this a while ago based on new opinions. This is my current depiction of how the tiers look, I think the middle tier bulk is quite accurate now.

I don’t understand the "why don’t yall just play SF4 if you like it better " argument. How? The online died and the locals promote the new game. It’s like finding a needle in a hay stack, not to mention at least 20-30% of the people that played 4 just straight up quit gaming or Street fighter all together ( I can rattle of dozens of names in my scene alone).
Thing is and this is something I’ve learned about life, things are always better when you’re young , your mates, your job, your games and really that’s all it is mostly. There’s a lot of middle aged guys or approaching middle age and that was the prime of their life. Not to say SF5 doesn’t have it’s problems.
That’s probably a better reason than actual gaming reasons , although SF4 was much closer to an arcade game than SF5 which again was more of an older blokes thing.
SF5 feels and is and was a low budget afterthought and SF4 was a prime release and it’s never got away from that. Even right now.
I enjoy both games for different reasons and I’m 100% positive I bitched about SF4 at the time.
The peak of SF4 was like 5-6 years ago, that’s a long damn time.
