Gief mauls shoto’s in general, but where i feel kage shines over akuma is the range he forces gief to play is different to akuma and ryu, kage has st hk/mk, and you have a v skill to counter gief’s charged hp. Or on zangief’s st hp whiff you can whiff punish with st hp into heavy tatsu which has ridiculous corner carry. And in the corner kage can shit out damage with shimmy and counter hits.
3 of kages 6 buttons are negative or 0 verse geif and all his specials are negative out heavy stomp which gief can spd in between.
Plus all his buttons leave in or a micro step outside of spd range

Well less than free since if I play it at all I’ll unlock Mila but that is still way cheaper than gambling on if I’d ever play the full version. EC makes the game look fun as hell but time is always the issue and I’m legit pumped for MK11 (beta client for that is downloading too).
Also yay for getting one of the best stages back.

Thats the point. Akuma cant really gamble vs Gief as Gief can anti air or heavily punish all his gamble stuff. He ideally has to play the match pretty similarly to Kage.
Kage can definitely fight Gief. Max range sweep is also really good and s.hp can whiff punish abuse of Gief s.hp.

Capcom are stubborn, instead of reversing buffs in s2 and 3 they instead gave her unique Nerf like increased throw distance which is just frustrating af for pros to have to deal with at the highest level.
Not quite, but he has literally every thing else and then something more. Plus if you do S.HK and he blocks you can go into TC and be in his face with a 3f Vs not a 3f.
Basically if you playing Akuma, ain’t much you should be crying about

every time i see akuma v gief it’s either centered on cr hp and hados or going ham w/ flips, neither of which kage has as options, but 
i’m not gonna pretend to be an akuma expert. regardless, either that guy didn’t like kage gief either, or he just isn’t gonna pull kage period. don’t know him
Im looking at the matchup generally outside of what that guy at Final Round decided to do. Knowing his sitauation he likely just has way more experience with Necalli
I run into him online and he always uses Kolin. Been grinding her for a while. Shes the next strong footsie waifu to go along with Karin and Cammy. She does better vs the big boys than they do also
FKang is putting in work at the Tiger Upper Quarta weekly in Sao Paulo with Kage.
He fought some strong Gief players there with Kage, so this was a strange pick for me.
