SFV Lounge: Cammy at the Falken bottom, Makoto is in final phases, Leo Alex is broken

Hmm where are the bald eagles? :face_with_monocle:

One is off retreiving the keys to his F-150 and the other is grabbing a six pack of Budweiser.

gimme gimmie

Also DMCV is cringe and overhyped, it’s cool though

And I heard Elena is coming sooner than we thought…I’ll be back to find out

Have you ever played a DMC game before?

I’m now picturing Ono in a lifted F-150, with Trump, monster energy, and the coexist made from guns stickers. He has a red flannel sleeveless shirt and a camo hat. He still has blanka Chan in the front pocket and has the super engrish “herrooo errybody”.

The hell is this convo.

Violence only creates more violence. That’s not to say you don’t protect people who need to be protected through necessary means. But the notion that you should just start swinging based on one side of a story is a little over the top.

The guy should be denied entry. Police need to be notified. And as a last resort if he insists on making contact, a necessary amount of counter force should be applied. Just this idea of jumping the guy or preemptive mob strikes is short sighted.

Say you jump him in Atlanta. Who’s to say that just doesn’t make him more extreme? Now he carrys a weapon on his solo missions. That doesn’t make anything more safe.

Does he deserve an ass whooping? Most likely. Should people just be looking to swing on sight? Absolutely not.

ofc but it’s EXTRA cringe since now the graphics are realistic :^)

MJ homage is cool though

Since I’m gonna be too swamped with classes for April Annihilation, I’m planning on going to “Defend the North” in NYC in July.

But what is the best place to find a list of upcoming SF tournaments? NYC is doable but far and lowkey expensive.

I love how people only compare dmc5 to the mainline series, but forgot this one entirely exists at all.
I’ve been playing through it and… it’s ok.

I like that one. People hate it for whatever reason tho. I think there are mainline entrys that suck way worse

I like DmC a lot. I know why it got a lot of hate though.the final product though, is actually remarkably faithful to DMC.

Definitely better than dmc 2 atleast. People dont like the new dante and the story but reviewers thought it was great.

DMC4 better than 5? interesting.

We do not talk about Hillary Swank’s bad Dante cosplay around here.

DMC5 is the fucking best. I may cool on that over time but my initial impressions after finishing DH are extremely strong.

Also I got a code for the MK11 stress test. Neat!

Can we just leave the DmC debate at good action game and trash Devil May Cry entry? Kthx

Edit: Also putting 4 over 3/5 and Donte over 1? Taste cancer is spreading.

So this is a complicated thought, and subject to change as I haven’t finished Dante Must Die yet but…

My big problem with DMC5 compared to 4 is the character selection. Too often they force you to play with V or Dante. V is okay, but a far less interesting character than the other two, largely because you don’t have the same level of direct control.

Dante they finally updated, and he’s better than ever. But the update brings him a lot closer to Nero and highlights just how much better Nero is as a character.

Then Nero doesn’t really get fully unlocked until later in the game, which is annoying.

On a second playthrough, the characters are fully unlocked from the get go, so that issue fades.

In DMC4, you basically play the whole game with both characters, so everyone gets to do everything. Too often in DMC5 I just wanted to pick the character I really wanted to be playing.

On a lesser note, towards the end the environments get very bland and repetitive. That’s a minor point though.

Finally, DMC5 is very easy, which made the first playthrough more dull than I think was intended.

DMC5 is still top notch though. However, Bayonetta 1 & 2 are still the character action champs.
