SFV Lounge: Cammy at the Falken bottom, Makoto is in final phases, Leo Alex is broken

^Literally my life for the past month, though a big part of it is less time due to school and work.

Don’t have an excuse for right now tho

Goddamn Vega owns my soul across all SF games.

:sob:

Stupid ass character. Why he get a command grab for?

To me its a paradox:

When I have college, I dont have much time to draw
When I’m on vacation, too lazy to do much

Weirdly enough I’m actually more productive during when college starts even though I have less time for that

Yeah you get that “active” mentality when school starts its like new years resolutions or something. Also workload is still light and generally you feel like you have your life “together”.

I’m mid semester and I’m one week away from “fuck it” mode.

Also I can give you some help if you want @Pertho

Laggy Mexican Kens have migrated to Laggy Mexican Kages.

Still playing like idiots.

Low health doesn’t deter idiots.

:japanese_goblin:

Sure but a lot has to do with me not knowing the data. Know a thing here or there but they don’t happen enough to learn it all.

I might just switch to Kage to learn how not to be YOLO.

Learn FANG, all the YOLO you want.

I don’t wanna be YOLO though. It’s boring.

Is Kage really be played that much? Literally the only one I keep running into is Deadace.

I personally hate exercising, but I just do it. Saw real quick during the holidays what happens if I stop. I’m 5’10 and went up to 205 pounds(damn good eating). Down to 185 and think I can lose another 10.

First things first meterless command grabs do not give dash oki. If you see him dash after that (or a regular throw) just mash. EX does give real oki with him +2 after a dash so yeah 50/50.

Button wise, all mediums are +1 or +2. Both c.hp are +3.

Some basic frame trap knowledge here.

  1. Real Danger: blocked c.hp (both)
  2. Moderate Danger: blocked c.mk
  3. Basically safe: pretty much everything else

His c.hp’s are both +3 on block. Claw stance is the more dangerous block situation since he can stance switch it and remain +1, making it a real 50/50 if blocked.

Light and Medium roll leave him at +2 on hit. Just hold back or back dash without being super predictable. On block they are like -7 punish that shit.

I could go deeper but it’s past midnight here and my thoughts are jumbled and I tried to limit the post to mostly frame data. I got you with real strategy tomorrow if you want @Pertho

Edit: oh yeah slide VTC is only +1.

You just gotta stick with it. Once you start seeing results it’ll motivate you to keep going. Last year my weight was getting ridiculous and I didn’t wanna perpetuate the fat trucker stereotype lol so I started doing the keto diet and lost 40 pounds without exercise. I think around November last year I started lifting and working out again. I actually enjoy working out listen to something to get hype to and I’m good.

Just played SFA2 recently. That game is fun as hell.

It is. Normals feel good, damage is ridic. Jump arcs work. Pushback is normal.

The pushback thing fucked me up. Its crazy how much that one video was on point about it.

Do y’all prefer a2 over a3? I swear I heard alot of people mad the 30th collection didn’t have online for it because they preferred a2. Was there some major change?

I do. It feels like what I think of Street Fighter, a series that advocates for patient and methodical decision making but still having nice spurts of explosiveness. A3 is still a cool game but I think I just like how SFA2 plays much better.

Everyone prefers A2 over A3. A3 has far better presentation for the most part (Soundtrack notwithstanding but I do think the A3 OST is better than people give credit for) but A2 is just simply a better game (which hurts me to say since A3 was a first love of mine). V-Ism is just busted in A3, they crippled everyone’s low normal cancels but Shotos post-LocTest because people were getting bitchy about Karin’s c.MK xx Rekkas, and some of the design decisions were just…not great.

A3 they pretty much experimented wild with it, which is fine. It’s a very unique SF experience that really hasn’t been replicated or even attempted to be replicated. But A2 is the golden child.

Japan loves A3 over A2!?

I know Daigo is a massive A3 fan. His A-Guy was the stuff of some legends.
