So? It’s a good idea and other games copied it.
Corner crossup are a bad idea and everyone else ignored it.

It was bad in SF games because it broke with internal rules in the series. now I’m really trying to remember which was the 2D game that started that nonsense. That legit is one of my biggest pet peeves mechanics.
They may not be but almost everything that’ll make a 2D fighting game good is.
Why is it bad though yall just keep saying it doesn’t make sense when SF characters dance around “science” and “sense” in their sleep.
Why should you be more safe from a mixup in the corner? Especially when the opponent risks putting themselves in that same terrible position to do it.
The game tells you that that is the edge of the stage, the end, there is no more room.
But when someone jumps over you, the game actually moves your character out of the way to fit the other guys ass back there.
That is the most unintuitive nonsense shit ever, and complete violates the games own internal logic.
You keep responding as though we have said it’s overpowered. In fact, we are just saying it’s dumb.
But it’s only unintuitive if you assume the characters cannot manipulate space and time which they are clearly shown to be capable of.
And you didn’t answer the more important question.
Edit: oh well nevermind then. But using “it doesn’t make sense” is a terrible argument for the removal of a perfectly fine game mechanic.
More important question? Okay.
Yes Kolin is the best SFV girl.
That’s a weird way to spell Menat
Facts
Menat is okay.
However the best thing about her is that I may never have to see that Nomura reject Rose ever again.
I can’t hate. Chun-li and Kolin are the easy top two.
Actually I like Juri the best but her fans are annoying as fuck.
He means unintuitive to a player, not the universe.
Juri lost something in V. Hard to put my finger on.
It’s actually unintuitive by the games own internal rules too. Is there a wall or not?
Every other mechanic of the game says yes, but in this one instance the answer changes.
She did for sure but I’m just tired of hearing people whine about her.
BUT MUH SF4
Also a lot of them are degenerate foot fetishists.
I don’t even mean moveset.
Like, she’s not even really evil anymore? She’s just… I don’t know really? She lost a lot of personality, and what little she has left doesn’t add up to anything.
Venom syndrome. Popular evil character so the IP tries to make them a hero or at least an anti-hero so people can cheer for them without rooting for evil. It can work but the transition is often awkward.
Vegeta is another one.
FlyingVe already covered this but hard corners offered two things for offense and defense: on defense, your opponent can’t move so you measure range better, on defense your opponent can’t jump over you so your opponent doesn’t have that option anymore either. Being able to cross people up in the corner definitely changes that dynamic of playing the corner. There are players who work really strong defenses from being cornered too.
corner cross ups basically take away the SF version of rope-a-dope.
Also in a lot of games you get corner only combos. I wanna say there were corner only set ups in SF4 because of silly corner cross up stuff. So yeah, adding all that random nonsense kind of makes cornering somebody way too extra.
But a lot of people shit on Old Heads when we tell you shit is wack. Y’all deserve every long winded Dime post until you learn.
Pushing someone aside from a wall and using an edge of screen as visual aide for “this is the end”, the latter is more powerful to indicate something to a player. The actual lore implications don’t really mean jack shit tbh.
A lot of the corner carry in V is already so strong that additional mix factors just add to the stigma that V is a momentum heavy rushdown game. All the little things inbetween kinda add up.
I want 6 to slow itself down a shit ton, but not be as slow as IV. V kicked it up like 30 levels.
