PSN store says estimated preload day is on the 15th. Idk about Steam

Stupid question: I know that the game is gonna be released on the 16th. I’m assume that means Midnight 12:00AM on the 16th. Does that also mean (and i’m just asking cause I’m hoping to play early), but if the game is released midnight EST, would that mean that when its 9:00pm PST, would it be available to finally play?
Or does it mean game is released at 12:00AM no matter where you live?

Right now if you check the Library on PS4 there is a timer that says it’ll be released in 3 days, 11 hours and 20 minutes. That works out to roughly 2/15, 9PM PST. So yes, that’s 2/16 midnight EST.

I mentioned it in general a few days ago. It releases simultaneously based on midnight EST. So PST it’s 3 hours earlier (9pm Feb 15th). PC releases 13hours later than PSN.
In summation:
Alter time based on your timezone in relation to EST
Midnight EST February 16th - PSN Release date.
1pm EST (Maybe 12pm?) February 16th - PC release date.
Edit: Interesting but more logical. Capcom moderator on steam discussions says 12pm EST for Steam, timer comes out to 1pm but 12pm certainly makes more sense. That said most games on steam release at 10am PST so I dunno, they aren’t ALWAYS that time but that’s been my experience and what I can find online. So for now assume 9am PST/12pm EST for Steam because a Capcom moderator did say that.
I swear if I have to wait until 5pm (GMT) I’m going to be mad…
It’s bad enough that people have had the game since Thursday.
If you’ve pre-ordered on PSN you can go back to the store and click on the pre-order to see a countdown for the unlock.
PS4 looks like 12 AM EST, Steam currently appears to be 1 PM EST. With any luck they’ll update the Steam unlock to actually be at midnight but hard to say.
I’m starting right now a 7gb download about SFV. A necessary pre-download?

For the people who got this on disc, did you have to download anything after putting the disc in? Or will the release day patch mean I have to do that?
Amazon gave me a 20% discount on disc lol otherwise I would buy it on PSN.

Yeah the game page on steam (uk) is still showing the unlock to happen in 1 day and 6 hours???

The capcom community manager confirmed this morning the steam download will be at midnight, forget that timer.
Ah, ok thanks. Will the day one patch download automatically at that time also, if I leave steam running? It’s just I’ll be at work when the game goes live so would like to get straight on when I get home. Cheers
Not sure about the patch, folks with the ps4 version have already downloaded the patch, I haven’t seen it pop up on steam.
Yeah me neither. Can’t be chewed with a 6gb download on my poxy 8mb con when I get home. That’s at least another 2hr wait. My eyes will be hanging out their sockets by then!!
