Not only did it happen, it happened 3 years ago.
I really like the idea of Street Fighter characters dressed like other Capcom characters. There is some REALLY good potential in mining Capcom’s entire library for costumes. I mean:
Guile as Dutch from AvP
Ibuki as Linn Kurosawa from the same game
Chun Li as Lucia
C. Viper as Captain Commando
Sodom as Bishamon
Alex as Biff Slamkovich
R. Mika as Tiffany
And so on and so forth.
Ken as Leon Kennedy?

That probably works better. Maki does seem to have Linn’s trademark guns more than Ibuki

If we’re talking about Capcom swap costumes a Ken Dante costume is really obvious.
Similar hair style and angry glare too.
Well yeah, both are kind of show offy. Though Ken doesn’t really really love to fight the way Dante does. The best reason for Ken / Dante though is Reuben Langdon plays both characters. I think he did a WAY better voice over job on Dante in DMC3/4 than he did for Ken. It goes to show how important a good director can be. Kyle Hebert is a great VA and has been in a ton of stuff and I always felt his Ryu was kind of awkward. It’s improved though a lot since SF4 first came out (see: MvC3 and parts of SFxT) but still kind of awkward. All about getting a good voice director.
Another good reason for Ken is Dante already copies the Shoryuken in his game, though he also copies Shin Shoryuken and that’s more a Ryu thing.
