V-Skill: dive kick; if grounded he jumps to min height and dive kicks right away. Can use stick to set angle.

V-Reversal: like his command grab but kicks out and leaves chars, 2 char spaces away.

Karin’s theme is the only reason I get kind of excited at the idea of Karin being in. But her moves have pretty much already been transferred over to characters already revealed that I think her and Sakura’s chances for inclusion are fairly low. I mean it could be possible that more than one character in SF5 gets a parry V-skill. or for Karin, it could be that capcom makes her parry a regular motion input and makes her v-skill something different so there will be a variety of choices for how to execute essentially the same moves among the cast.

My god with the cuffs, that is literally what I came up with for her, well fucking done. Someone’s been reading my dream journal.

But I think it’d be better if her trigger boosted the shit out of her fire ball game. Just image sending full screen versions of her fierce AE or some shit like that.

I’m just hoping for more triggers like Nash’s that aren’t just “you’re character is now faster and can combo better.” I hope they get into some fancy shit.

I kinda think SF needs a “big” woman.

If by “big” you meant plus-size women, then I’m all down for it and want one as a new character. Not the muscular kind though.

Yea I mean something like in the picture. Not a belly like Rufus, it would be too much, but simply a big girl. Thicker arms, legs and body than the usual girls. She has to look like someone who breaks your back if you don’t make her a sandwich.

Street Fighter is already somewhat diverse when it comes to characters. We have women with big legs, with abs and with big chests. It’s actually very good compared to other fighters like Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive (I love DoA5 LR, but you can’t deny the fact that they all have the same body, just different chest sizes, it’s even worse in MKX, all bodies look exactly the same).

So I think in order to make SF even more diverse, they should add a female character who has more weight than the usual female.

When have Evo reveals taken place in the past? Memory fails me on big events happening.

Usually right before the top 8 of USF4.
They did it 2013 with the reveal of Decapre.

I actually have a strong feeling we’ll get Juri at launch, if not in the first season of DLC. R.Mika has potential, I doubt we’ll see the other two.

Yeah, I doubt we will see Poison or Rose as well. Less popular overall and less interesting in terms of gameplay for the roster of SFV I guess.

I disagree on the moves. Karin’s moves are nothing like what’s been revealed.

Karin plays nothing like Sakura and none of her moves even remotely resemble shotos or anyone that’s been revealed Karin is a rekka character, at this moment there are no rekka characters.

Karin doesn’t share anything with Sakura other than being a japanese schoolgirl. I dunno why you’d lump them together.

Karin’s normals are fairly unique and her rekka type combat is currently unrepresented in SF5.

I don’t get al the exitcement for Karin. Don’t really fancy her. But then again I don’t feel like these kids add something to the feel of the Street Fighter Scene. The only thing I’m hoping for at Evo is a Alex reveal. Oro will also make me jump. But he’s not in any leak or rumor (right?).

For me, there isn’t any SF character that I super dislike. I guess if anything it would be Sodom, but it’s mainly his defaut color scheme than his actual character.

As for Oro, he wasn’t in any of the popular leak/rumor lists. But, he does have a statue coming out for him next year and may be indicative of him being in the game if his statue’s release date is near the projected release date of SFV. I don’t think it’d be a statue being marketed for (lol) 3sO since the game has long been out and putting out new merchandise to represent that game doesn’t really make that much sense for Capcom, especially of a not as popular 3s character. They have the Chun-Li statue based on her Third Strike design and alternate colors on the JPN Capcom store advertised, but I think it helps that she’s just super popular overall and is in the latest games including SFV.

So I’d put money on Oro, but no he wasn’t in any of the leak/rumor lists.

Don’t abuse the off topic flag. If you disagree use disagree. What I stated directly is related to discussing the topic at hand.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Karin was revealed at EVO. I think next to Alex she’d probably get the biggest response from the community. Many top players such as Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz have expressed desire for her to be in SF5. If she is going to be announced I think either EVO or at TGS are going to be the most likely places they’d do it. With how extraordinarily highly requested she is, and has been for a long time, I can’t imagine they’ll leave her out AGAIN if they can put her in.

I still think though that EVO will reveal the new character and either fully reveal or at least tease one of the SF3 characters as there has been none revealed so far.

I would skip Blanka if I had any say in it. But Capcom prolly has some smatter people than me working on this project. He is a fan favorite although I don’t know any players that fancy him. Oro seems a good choice to me because the tempo of his game is quite different the rest of the characters. I feel he’s pretty unique in the SF universe. And he’s badass. But I’m afraid he’s a bit to strange for the plebs. Almost the same case with Q.

I’m afraid they go with a character like Eagle because he’s recognisable. I rather have freaks like Twelve or Skullomania than another shooto. I also prefer Haggar over Gief, Hokuto over Karin/*insert any female character and Necro over Dhalsim. But the PR-department of Capcom will go with a set of characters that are commenly known by the public. So hoping for some amazing new characters is better than going for miracles. I have high hopes for the Maori characters. He needs to perform some kind of Haka as a intro.

I think this is veering more into the “who I want” rather than “who is most likely next” territory. I do agree that Oro would be nice and tengu stone makes a lot of sense as a V-trigger. Q is surprisingly popular if the polls are anything to go by, plus I know a number of people who really want him back. Ultradavid mained him in SF3 IIRC.

As for Skullo/Hokuto it ain’t happening. As has been stated numerous times, the SFEX characters wont ever come back because Arika owns the rights to them not Capcom.

It’ll be certainly interesting to see how the new character looks / plays to give some insight into Capcom’s current design mindset. You could see a strong push for mixup oriented characters with SF4 came out. Rufus, Abel, El Fuerte, C Viper, Seth, and Gouken were all the original new characters and barring Gouken they were very mixup oriented for the most part.

Reading up on his life, it’s kinda sad we ended up with Hakan. If we ever do get another Indian fighter, I hope Capcom wrongs the right and honors this man.

I think the new teased character is most likely next at EVO, though do see 2 characters being revealed at such a big event.

Alex is a likely one I imagine. I really see Juri fitting well in this game, her FSE would make an excellent V-Trigger straight off the bat.

I’m on the fence with the Blanka thing, I do kinda see him as a “staple” character, but I’m really not fussed. As much as I like him as a character I’ve never really had any inclination to play him outside of when I’m playing against friends who don’t play street fighter so I avoid characters I know to make it a little fairer =p

Now when I think about it I agree with you.

Two of them would be too much for TGS. Evo makes sense for Karin. Most of the competitive gamers said they want Karin in SFV. Basically all of Team EG said it and they are all at EVO.
Just one new character nobody knows might be not enough to please the crowd of the biggest Fighting Game Tournament of the year. They have to announce a fan favorite as well.

They can go with 1 character reveal for August when there is no event planned.

Yeah I don’t know what ur smoking, but for someone with such strong opinions on Karin u seem to know nothing about her.
