Yeah full demon Oni could fit, Warzard/Asura and DMC universe characters would be cool as well. Ingrid fits SF much more than darkstalkers (schoolgirl, plain looking human, wielder of psycho power).
If R. Mika is in the game, I wonder how her commands will work since Capcom said this time we wonāt get 360/720 grabs. Her freacking hard Heavenly Dynamite ultra (720!) must come back. Itās so funny.
Capcom gonna be at GDC Europe or China? If not then after Evo, the next event is like TGS in september. Which means Evo has to give us a lot of info. I hope at least 2 charactersā¦
How is she only mid tier if she goes even or better vs almost the whole cast? Also she doesnāt have to be annoying, capcom is changing the returning characters. I am opposed to so and so character type canāt be better than mid tier cause of dislike of said type. Those type of thoughts should never enter the devs minds as they design a character and then balance the cast.
I think the new character will be revealed with an official trailer, might be in a playable build along with Ken. As for what else, who knows. I think we definitely get at least a tease for another character, however we can possibly get more than that. Like another new character trailer. E3ā¦we got Birdie and Cammy at one time.
If Karin is announcedā¦weāll have a new decibel record for EVO.
Elena is only as annoying as Chun Li is annoying. Their strengths are typically good normals and throw ranges. In 3s, Elena was only Chun Li-lite because her good pokes didnāt convert into the same damage output as Chun-Liās and her hit confirmable normal was cr.MP that could be parried high and low. Both had really good kara throws for range, but Elena didnāt have a good kara throw for SGGK into hit confirm into super.
In Ultra, it looks like she is really solid fundamentally and they can just buff her normals to have better hit boxes and hurtboxes. Ever since loketests, it seems like they gradually and gradually nerfed her by making her hurt boxes worse and recovery worse. Elena could be a solid character for SFV and fit the type of characters that have good ground game and focus around that. Sheād be a more appropriate choice than, letās say, Makoto despite how much I really like Makoto.
Oro I can see be associated with the New Zealand stage because heās not a Brazilian native. Heās originally Japanese if I recall and is a traveling hermit. So he doesnāt really have a residency nor association with any particular nation or land mass. So if anything, having recluse environment in nature better reflects his kind of character and his typical stage. His previous stages have been caves, out of the way of human contact. In 3s, they shoe-horned him into the Brazil stage with Sean, but it could be looked at as if Oro is catching a boat near the docks to continue traveling the world.
Because if you go 5-5 vs 80% of the cast, beat 10% of the cast (who are bad characters), and lose to 10% of the cast (who are good characters), you are midtier.
