If we go by the videos, they immediately shown Bison and Charlie after they teased them in the previous videos. So, the dreadlocks guy would be the option here.
Probably him and Sean or Blanka, since Ono says next appearance of the game will be at the Brazil Game Show or something like that. They could be both.
Darkstalkers doesn’t want Ingrid and she doesn’t fit at all either. Don’t want twelve or any other street fighter reject either. Creatures of myth and legend and/or classic movie monsters are what Darkstalkers design is about. Not dumb cyborg lab experiments or a twirly loli.
The Brazilian character will only be announced in October at Brazil Game Show. Until then - the only thing they could show us related to that is a teaser at the end of a character trailer that they might show at TGS in September
Which leads me to believe that after they officially announce the newbie teased in Ken’s trailer - that new trailer will feature the tease for Alex/Urien
Guile. Gameplay and storywise. For gameplay, Capcom went out of their way to make Nash play nothing like Guile. Considering how Ken was changed, it makes sense that Nash’s changes were to “make room” for Guile. For story, I think it would be very odd if Nash finally shows up but Guile doesn’t care. You know Chun Li has Guile’s cell number and would have called him the moment she saw Frankenstein’s monster throw a Sonic Boom.
What does Elena have to do with New Zealand, Akuma have to do with the moon, and Karin have to do with the US? Akuma and Karin would fit better with Ryu in Japan although I do remember Karin having some kind of story point for Ken in SFA3 so that kind of fits. I honestly hope Elena isn’t in the game anyway, they’ve never found a way to make her any good outside of maybe SFxT (never touched the game) and she’s near broken with her crouching hitbox in USF4.
Lilith is a succubus. Buletta is based on red riding hood. You were trolling the darkstalkers thread for a long time, I appreciate the persistence bringing it into the SF thread.
I’m trying to stretch the thing here a little, they haven’t said the Waterfalls are a New Zealand stage, but “directly inspired by New Zealand”.
I don’t think they add two New Zealand “nature warriors”, and Elena is the only character I think could fit in a natural stage, so I’d give it to her.
Same thing Bison has to do: NOTHING.
But his stage has been related to the moon many times, his powers are the same purple color and it’d be most likely the “default” stage for evil characters.
Juri could fit there too, but I’d say Akuma has the upper hand in making the cut.
Karin has shared US stages with Ken before, IIRC.
That’s right. I don’t see Karin fighting in a dusty traditional dojo when she’s pretty much the “rich girl” and a more modern fighter. Akuma sharing Ryu’s stage?
Could be, but I think Japanese chicks like Sakura, Makoto or Ibuki would fit better there, while they can put Akuma in a more “dreadful” stage like the purple moon stage.
I think she’s a great character, but I concur she’s not that good and also if we have a “Samoan native” for the Waterfalls stage, two tribal fighters would be redundant.
It’s only I can’t think of anyone else that could fit in that stage. Maybe Oro? But I have no idea what would Oro be doing on New Zealand.
Or maybe the theory is not right and some characters have an individual stage instead of sharing it with another fighter.
