You really have problems at understand why Capcom likely see Ken as an obvious smart move being him one of the cheapest to make (since they can recycle stuff as model and animations from the work already done for Ryu) and as one with the highest potential of influence the sales (huge character popularity and being kinda expected to be in)
Or
You’re just trying to look smartass on the internet?
Lol, i hope for you is the second
And again, while i’ve nothing against Ken, i’m not even a fan of it (with Ryu already in all i need in SFV cast are Dictator and Gief)
Is just about being objective and have a really simple, basic idea of what the fuck is marketing and budget management
Again, only scenario where money hungry 2015 Capcom does’nt include Ken in start cast is if they accept the risk to keep him as sure-gain DLC
Raiden from MGR. Ditch the HF blade and give him his Hand to hand attacks but more fleshed out. Oh and ever so slightly make Juri slightly more musclar. Ever so slightly though.
I’d like to see more serious African American characters like Marco/Butt from Garou or Bruce from Tekken
(idk how to post pics but here’s Butt/Marco)
I just feel like the ones that are in now are kinda all jokes other than maybe Elana… Boxers like braindead and a lackey, Sean’s like a sf3 shotout to Dan, and Deejay has that constant rapist smile…
Also, maybe a character based off Ip Man? Or a multiple form kung fu sorta guy or girl like Lei (tkkn).
I don’t believe so, (I could be wrong) but I always thought he was just another practitioner in Ryo (who is a total ripoff of Ryu)/Takuma/Yuri’s fighting style.
I’m not saying make another shoto, just a serious African American character like him would be nice
Off topic, Ryo was created by ex-Capcom employees, the same individuals who worked on the original Street Fighter. I am not sure if you can rip off… your own creation.
I really want a char based on Kareem Abdul Jabaar in game of death. Not every JKD practitioner fights exactly like Bruce Lee in his movies. JKD was all tailored to the individual’s strengths.
A pretty quick char with really long reaching kicks sort of like Elena and Sagat mixed together.
Also it’s about damn time we got a Jackie Chan character. Why is Tekken like the only one? Maybe based on Rumble in The Bronx instead of his more famous drunken master (though I prefer drunken master and we’ve yet to see a Drunken Boxer in SF series)
That may be true. I’m pretty sure SNK did a legit SF/Capcom parody fighter in one of their games (just to the extent that Dan was a jab at Ryo and Robert), but I can’t remember who it is.
I’d like to see Retsu or Lee make an appearance in SF5. I can see them having that classic martial arts feel to their move set similar to Gen’s.
For Street Fighter spin-off characters, I’d like to see Lucia from Final Fight 3 or any character from Rival Schools(provided that they fit the tone of the game).
Why does an African American character have to be serious? Why not one that’s funny and charismatic in a cool way that’s not insulting? Like he could be an hallarious wise cracking trash talker that can also back up his talk? Unless you mean serious as in a character that doesn’t feel insulting or poorly designed. In that case I agree.
This is why I would like to beg, whine, scream, and throw a temper tantrum for them to add King Cobra in. My idea is still that he will play similar to Rufus, and honestly I want them to add Rufus so King Cobra can be his rival. Although the mock up of how KC looked didn’t make him seem funny/hilarious, but still looked badass enough.
Problem is, he would need to be redesigned now because for one thing, him wearing the gi did kinda make him look like an older Sean, and 2, the gi he had on was given to Ken for his alternate costume.
