What he was saying was commentary on how SF4 was handled. Super brought in 10 characters, AE brought in 4 more, then there was ~3 year wait until ultra dropped. I don’t think he was seriously suggesting that.
Like CvSnK, I think it was called GC-Ism. On pad the left analogue moved and right analogue was all specials. E.G for Ryu… forward on right stick would be hadouken. Back was tatsu. Up was shoryuken. Slightly diagonal was supers. The futher you pressed the stick the more powerful the move. It had auto block. Annnd the specials were weaker and I can’t remember if you could use normals or not.
I don’t think it should be added, this post was just for Primero explaining how it was done in a different game in case they weren’t aware.
So…who still hasn’t found a character they want to try out in sfv? I feel like most people have at least 1 character the like/want to try out but with lots of fan favorites and archetypes still not in, I can’t help but think that some people still feel left out XD.
Not for me though. My two all time favorites are in plus necalli is totally up my alley.
Currently Nash is the only character I like because he’s so solid and fun. Cammy is cool, shotos never interested me other than Sean and Chun-Li I’ve never played outside of drunken MVC2.
I’ve always been a grappler guy but Birdie doesn’t do it for me, idk why but he doesn’t. He’s fun but I wouldn’t main him. Nash is going to be my semi-reluctant choice for now until Zangief is announced either for now or DLC.
I wouldn’t worry about her for sure. If anything, the way the is built with the timed Ultra, it feels as if Capcom planned ahead of time while creating her. Juri is a guaranteed addition to the roster since she would fit in SF5 perfectly with the V-system in this game, it’s just a question of time whether she gets into the initial 16 or gets in via DLC
Oh the moment I found out what mechanics SF5 was using I knew Juri was coming (that and it was obvious she would given her popularity and other things) and she would be perfect for it. I’m still in the hopes that she makes the original 16, then I don’t have to wait longer.
Yeah this is me as well, while I’m sure she will at the very least be a DLC character, I just hope she’s in the initial roster (stubbornly believe she is as well :P). Waiting for character reveals is just so excrutiating some times, if she was revealed some time ago then I don’t think I’d feel this way anymore.
I was looking forward to playing Charlie but the posts sugggest he’s bottom tier and is getting nerfed on top of that, so I’m still waiting for the following archetypes to happen:
A character in the vein of Clark or Hanzo from Yataragasu that have access to a decent command grab but aren’t slow as molasses. R. Mika would probably fit the bill with the right adjustments.
A character able to put Zato or Millia levels of pressure on a blocking opponent.
An unorthodox zoner able to set projectiles in several directions. Ingrid or Oro’s Yagyou Dama might fit here.
Q / Necro / Urien.
i don’t know anything about darkstalkers but is there any chance that he could be referring to the fact one of the characters from that series is in sf5? that’s the only thing i can think he means outside of r.mika/karin. i know it’s unlikely but i just thought i’d throw it out there.
Oh VT is definitely gona be FSE. That’s basically a given. The question remains is how it will work. I could say it will work like in SF4…but I don’t know what other things she has that might point towards me being wrong.
Her V-skill? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Some people said it should be kasatushi (her dodge counter) but I don’t think so. We’ll see.
