Wait, has Ono ever stated public love for Karin? I do remember him saying how he wanted Rolento and Mika in SSF4, but that’s it. I put my money on Mika, easy fanservice, easy “OMG they listened”, easy fix to the sausagefest complaints. I do expect a bit of a redesign though (not Birdie or Nash level of redesign of course lol). Also easy way to quench Ono’s thirst for goofyness while still quenching the FGC’s thirst.

Well it wouldn’t be at PAX Prime. He was trolling an entire video about how Blanka would maybe be at the Blanka Game Show in Brazil where they are revealing the Brazil stage. He’s probably talking about another character if he’s talking about what is happening at PAX.
Sounds like it will be Mika. Karin at TGS I would assume then.

Possibly. Some may or may not go for it considering you can grind and get the DLC for free. Would also get cumbersome for tournaments if the game doesn’t have a tournament mode that unlocks all the DLC.

I think most people assumed a north African country for Rachid, given the name’s Arabic origins. You do make a good point though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned out to be the Indian character.
Spots are running out, and hope diminishes for a favorite character each time a new character is announced that isn’t him/her. Sure there is DLC, but that is a big question mark.
Oh pls not Mika. I would rather take a full roster of Dan’s over Mika.
