I’d be seriously surprised if we don’t get some sort of boxer in the game. Of course Alpha 1 and 2 didn’t have any boxers. So it’s not unprecedented.
TGS gonna be hype. I think it’s in mid September. Since we’ve gotten 3 characters within like 6-7 weeks, TGS might have 2 reveals. I would love to see Karin and Sakura. It’s shown they can change a character up a lot so Sakura could be completely different. Of course, I wouldn’t mind R.Mika over Sak either.
this is my random shot in the dark. the SF3/SF4 section might also end up being cut in half for two more SF2 characters. we’ll see how it goes…

I feel like one character who is left has to be really popular to end the roster on, like Juri, C. Viper, Gief, or Urien. The question is who the other three are. Some characters seem like they wont exist without someone else, like Karin without Sakura.

Today, I had an epiphany. It went like this; ‘‘People should think before making new threads’’.

Green = Shadaloo + rivals
Blue = Illuminati + rivals.
All the new SF4 characters that had a relevant plot line were more associated with S.I.N. so unless it comes back into play, I’m not expecting any SF4 characters in the initial cast.
Necalli, Charlie, and Birdie seem like proper candidates for having loyalty (however subdued or manipulated) to Illuminati. And now that rumor lists have been dispelled, I don’t know what to think about the “new boss” possibility. Can anybody verify a Capcom official stating anything about a new boss or give a number for new characters?

One of these things is not like the others. Viper isn’t a super popular character outside of competition, general populous doesn’t really like/dislike her. She fell mid level on almost every request / popularity poll.
Well, i’m not a fan of Akuma but he is pretty much locked in the roster, he is a fan favorite.
Also i really don’t know how R.Mika will have a spot in the first 16 characters, she is just a wet dream and nothing more, Karin is a lot better of a character but her problem is that she is tied with Sakura, so they will probably be DLC.
I didn’t want Vega either, but i’m okay with Sagat and Balrog. Also Guile, Honda, Blanka and Dhalsim are unlikely at the start but DLC.
Personally i just want Sagat, Balrog, Alex, Q and Urien.
