i just want a charge character with plasma (bison doesn’t count imo). i don’t care if that’s remy, deejay, guile or an entirely new character. actually part of me wants it to be a new character because then they could do some other stuff to that wouldn’t necessarily suit guile.

you know what’s funny? i usually totally overlook/forget her because legs in sf4 are a mash button move and i hate doing those moves, so i never use her. now that’s gone now too, yea i might just play chun in this game.

I really want them to bring Hakan back. I feel like he could really benefit from this V-System. But seeing as we already have a comical grappler in Birdie, I doubt it’ll happen. Honestly I would just like to see capcom put effort into the characters they already created. The only SF4 character I didn’t like was Rufus (did we really need a Bob rip off already that soon?) Abel, Juri, and C. Viper are the most likely characters to appear in this game based on popularity and story. Which I would be fine with, I play both Abel and Juri. I just want to see Abel fleshed out more. His Omega version was probably the best I’ve seen of him. I’d like to see some of that make it to SF5.
Personally I found dean kind of boring, I’d much rather have Lucia. Never was a fan of Dean / Carlos for some reason they never clicked with me like Cody/Haggar/Guy/Maki/Lucia did.

What’s wrong with bringing in FF characters? The series is considered part of the SF universe, Capcom pulls from Final Fight fairly often actually. SFA/SF3/SF4 all have had a new appearance of a final fight character in an SF game. Cody/Guy/Rolento/Maki for SFA, Hugo (with cameo of Poison) for SF3, and Poison in SF4 and Haggar has made cameos in SFA/SF4 backgrounds. That’s nearly 10% of all SF characters who’ve ever been actually in an SF game (IIRC if you include all SF1 chars who weren’t actually playable the entire cast is just under 70 characters.)
I really don’t see the problem.

Zangief definitely. Especially iif he is getting a well deserved reinvention like many of the returning characters.
Haggar isn’t even in the same league as Gief in terms of fandom and popularity.
As much as I like Haggar, Zangief seems more appropriate.
