Larthy. It wasn’t managers at the ESRB. I’m a professional writer with a journalism degree. That press release says it all, but not in the way people think.

See, the way they worded it is very clever but also very telling. They can’t explicitly say that the ESRB is the reason if they are not, that is a bigggg no no. So they kinda sorta try to imply it but not, making it seem that it’s out of their hands without stating it. If the ESRB were really the reason they would make that crystal clear. That press release is exactly why I’m here. I see right though it because I learned how to do that in college. Haha, one of the reasons I detested that course, it’s all about deception.

Regardless. We can still get them to change it back. Believe me. Capcom wants it both ways, they want to appease the group that demanded they change the game - gamers who most likely had no intention of even buying it, and we know who they are -, while taking the heat off themselves and trying to get sympathy from us.

If we make our voices clear, that they will lose sales if they chose to censor, we can really get that side to eat shit, or eat crow as they like to say.

When I first learned about this earlier today, my immediate reaction was exactly what Alpha Omega Sins was. Watching his video was like watching me it was really crazy and really awesome at the same time.

What I don’t get is guys like Alexisdabomb. Youre obviously not an artist, and I think artistically inclined people like me, AOS and others here, probably see this in a different way. But even if you disagree, what kind of loser sentiment is it to rag on guys like me and AOS ‘hurrrr they care about something durrr caring is dumb durrr I am cornholio I need teepee for my bunghole’.

Watch the video, or you know, read my comments if you think this is about R.Mika’s butt. My girlfriend has a nicer ass than R.Mika, the butt smack was one of the hypest starts to a critical art in the game, and that took creativity and is a clever expression that really fits the character.

But nah Durrr ParryAll is upset over boobies and butts durrrrrr lets make fun of him. No. It’s the misguided morons who got this changed in the first place who were upset over boobs and butts, who have no regards for artists and their choices, who think they can dictate what is and isn’t acceptable videogames or any form of art.

Daemos everything I said in that post was correct. I deleted it because it was off topic. It probably sounded deranged because I was describing the mentality behind this “movement” which is the definition of deranged. If it struck a cord with you enough to call it out that probably means you identified with it on some level and if that is the case I can only feel extreme pity for you, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt there.

Well, this thread is barely 7 hours old and half the posts are yours. The SRK community overall doesn’t care, I’d bet, and those who do, are immediately labeled as moms’ basement pervs unless proven otherwise. Not to mention people are skeptical of new threads in particular, because a lot of them are plain stupid. Just SRK being SRK…

Patience and cooler head advised, if you’re serious about something like this.

I know Larthy. I do let me temper get the best of me sometimes. I will be patient.

We have the support and numbers. What we are lacking is organization. It’s a combination of apathy, cynicism, and a do nothing then complain when nothing is done attitude. If we organize and make an effort we can win.

So yes Larthy I’m in it to win it, and sorry Eventhubs but this is a pressing issue and I’m not backing down and forgetting about it.

I literally just learned about this whole “social justice warrior” thing tonight. Social justice is recognizing and upholding the artists vision. What this group represents is totalitarianism. The reason it’s been allowed to fester is because the good people such as myself have lives, we are adults and don’t have time to live online like we did in college and highschool. So somehow this really disgusting group has risen up like the puss out of a big zit. The Internet has lost its mind between this and the flat earth society lol.

I will chill and relax but it’s just, damn, this is the ONE video game I care about coming in the past 5 years, yet I have to deal with jokesters who don’t know how to put in contacts let alone be good at fighting games or respect the artform and culture.

All I want to say is the change had nothing to do with the rating. The game already got it’s T rated by the Karin reveal trailer. Butt slap was still in during Beta 2. ESRB being the reason is pure bullshit.

ParryAll, I don’t disagree with you but perhaps if you lowered your rate of posting and consolidated your thoughts into single posts instead of replying to yourself, it might seem more coherent.

I’m against video game developers censoring themselves in this manner. Mika’s critical art was in-character and non-sexual. I’m surprised that Mika’s move was crossing the line whereas Poison was acceptable but I don’t see any issue with having characters with sexual traits regardless. It seems rather arbitrary, though to decide a wrestler taunt is too much.

If it was only because you were worried about public reception rather than the quality of your work then yes, of course.

If anyone is a “basement dwelling perv” it’s this so called social justice group.

I wrote a post before about them but deleted it, I’ll repost it now.

Basically once I found out about this group I had a good theory on their psychology. Alpha Omega Sin literally took the words out of my mouth, my eyes lit up when he said it, and that basically confirmed it for me.

I lost my virginity at 19 and believe me from ages 15-17 I was going insane and suffering bad depression because I couldn’t get laid. We lived in a very conservative community growing up and the number of girls with gaming interests was absolute 0 in my area. Finally in college gamer girls were everywhere and it happened for me.

I’m a nerd, and we have a big community of nerds, so I’m not saying nerds in a derogatory way, but nerds in the stereotypical way; no confidence, bad hygiene, lacking cleanliness. I helped quite a few of my friends who were like this. But imagine if I didn’t. People like that, by the time they’d reach 30, they’d suffer a psychotic break and I have no doubts whatsoever that is the root cause of this movement.

I mean just look at this thread. The trolls who have no lives, the negative confused losers of course jumped on it post haste, because the good people like Larthy, you know, have lives. They’re not sitting on SRK all day pressing refresh.

So you’ve got these desperate, aging trolls who have “tried everything” to get laid. Except, well, showering and approaching girls, which is all it takes. And taking care of your body. Anyways.

So it is my belief that one of them had the idea that to get a girl they’d become feminists. But since they are insane from lack of sex, they come up with this incredibly twisted form of feminism. Since they are gamers the only feminist they know is that insane one who I will not speak of her name here.

Of course this is not how you find a girl. No girl would ever get with a guy because she saw him posting radical feminist views, or even feminist views period. They would instead just assume you were gay. Not implying that feminists are all gay -I am a feminist, a REAL feminist who understands it - but I’m simply giving the common female psychology on the subject.

Anyways. I’ve been with 5 different girls since this person has been on the scene and the ones that knew of her despised her. She does NOT represent mainstream feminist views AT ALL. Somehow this monster got in front of the UN and was calling for limits on free speech that would make Hitler blush.

What a monster. And what a mess.

So basically between her and the super virgin insane people, this horrible horrible movement has risin, which attacks Super Mario Bros as being sexist and now Street Fighter.

Anyways. Any of these so called “sjws” comes my way I cant wait. I can logically demolish this misguided group faster than you can say the earth isn’t flat.

Disgusting that this is effecting my beloved Street Fighter.

Don’t like the censoring, but at the same time don’t really care. PC mods should be able to fix the censoring and generally just don’t care enough about aesthetic stuff to care. Just wanna play the game this week and on launch in February.

This is what happens when something goes mainstream. Every body and their grandma now wants to get involved and throw their two cents in. Back in the 90’s and early 2000’s such issues never arose or blew up like this because gaming was still a some what small thing, that mainstream America didn’t really care about. But come the 2010’s gaming is now in the spotlight. And with that spotlight EVERBODY now wants to be a gamer. But those new to gaming don’t like the gaming culture they see. So they want to change it to fit them. While those who have been gaming before the mainstream attention gaming is now receiving want to preserve it how they grew up with it. These two ideologies are now clashing.
