What the y do with Juri will determine if Capcom is full of shit or not. If they tone down her attire and what not. Then that’d show that they indeed want to tone things down in an attempt to make the game more presentable as an Esport. But if she’s the same or even more sexual. Then Capcom don’t know what the hell they want. And will just look indecisive and confusing. With removing Cammy’s Intro and Mika’s butt slap but Making Juri still fan servicy.

Relax buddy. Don’t go making an enemy out of me. I’m not pulling this out of thin air. Ono himself said they wanted to remove things that would make people feel uncomfortable. Now yes the Esports thing is my own assumption but it’s a valid one IMO. They built this game with the intent of it being seen as a Esport and want the series to go in that direction. That’s fact, Capcom has went on record saying this. So it’s only natural to conclude that they want to tone some things down to present it better as an Esport.

@BB_Hoody @ParryAll Theres suppose to be that fighting…game network thing…a new feature online where you can set people as rivals and see a “heat map” for whos playing where in the world and such. Thats suppose to be the Esports aspect. Its quite frustraing when Ono says he doesn’t want to make “people” uncomfortable. Come on Ono…point that finger!!! Be specific! Many fights have happened in comment sections cause Ono isn’t being 100% Honest like the dead or alive extreme people on…twitter I think? They responded with their poor english. I can’t remember exactly what they said but it was something like. “You know how people are in america about girls in games. We don’t want to deal with that so we are not releasing DOA Extreme in the US”. That is not an exact quote cause…the bad english. Ono’s not being transparent if I’m using the word “transparent” correctly.

Because the changes suck and look dumb. And censorship sucks. And it’s universal; I’ve yet to hear a single person say they like the changes and want more changed

My question is why don’t more people care. What’s with this “who gives a fuck” attitude. It’s our game. Were the ones who have supported Capcom for 25 years. I have bought more Capcom games than any other publisher my first NES game was 1943 Battle of the Midway my first video game I ever played, ever, was 1942 in a sit down cocktail arcade machine. I used to, at the age of 4 years old, I used to stand in awe of the Street Fighter 1 cabinet and watch the attract screen of Ryu vs Retsu over and over and over to the point I had it memorized. Why should they bend over backwards to appease non fans and stick the dick in the ass of their hardcore fanbase who has been there thick and thin.

Oh well I still have a sealed PS4 a 99.99$ preorder for the Limited Edition of the game and a sealed PSPLUS 1-year subscription all waiting for February. Literally all this remains sealed until SFV comes out. The total of these goods is over 500$. I hope the game gets change back but it’s not enough that I’m going to cancel my preorder and stuff. My point is that the game might not get changed back but oh well life goes on. Doesn’t mean I’m not going to continue supporting this thread and asking others to send a simple tweet or Facebook message of their support. Don’t let anyone bully you into thinking its “crazy” or “lame” to care. you have every right to care. If you go back and look at my post history over the past decade, everything all the threads and posts have always been passionate. No matter what the issue. That’s always been my style. And I’ve dealt with haters and trolls countless countless times it never changes. In 2006 I was in a money match against our best Ken locally a guy bet money against me because he couldn’t believe a Q player could take down a top Ken. After a very close set he was in disbelief and because it was so close he insisted with my best friend to do a double or nothing. My best friend didn’t want to take the guys money and said to him not to do it because he knew, he said you’re going to lose your money to him that only made the guy madder and more insistent, he insisted and insisted so my friend agreed and I won the set 5 to 0. The more people that tell me I can’t do something or it’s not possible just motivates me that much more to prove them wrong, and it’s been a recurring theme throughout my life.

Funny story. A guy locally here we were hanging out, met through SFIV stayed at his place a few nights. Someone called me ParryAll and he got this wide eyed look he said “YOU’RE PARRYALL?!!?” I said yeah he said “dude you were a total Dick to me online all because I asked about universal overheads in 3S”. I’ve never seen the thread to this day but we both had a good laugh over it.

The moral of this story is don’t take online message board posts so seriously. I don’t have a problem with any of the people who have posted here nor would I judge or hate them in real life and that includes literally everyone regardless of their views regardless of even if they were assholes to me or freaked out on me. Were all people and due to the common interest (SF/Fighting games) making friends is super easy and there’s always something to talk about (strats experience the latest games or changes etc etc). This isn’t highschool etc life’s too short etc etc.

I’ve played Street Fighter for 19 years. At one point I was considered in the top 2 or 3 Alex and Q players in the United States, I was the best Rufus in Pittsburgh, depending on who you ask though personally I concede that title to my friend who moved out around 2011, though I often got the better of mirrors he ranked higher overall and played more in general amongst our community. On SFIV vanilla I had 500 hours logged, an 89% win rate and remember rage quits from the other person counted as a loss for you, and on SSFIV around 200 until I stopped playing in 2011/2012. I logged in randomly in 2014 and murdered “high BP” players for a few days until I remembered that I hate SFIV lol.

So anyways:

-edit- what’s this about laggy stages? If stages lag in SFV on PS4 I will return this shitty PS4 without a seconds hesitation and get a graphics card for my laptop that is unacceptable.

That makes no sense if every console has the same spec and you still get lag on a stage other than training mode?
Which I think is bullshit because back before I became steam man, I was 360 man and didn’t experience that shit unless ping was higher than 200.

when you are versing a player who is not hardwired and is using the PS4 WIFI it normally lags on most of the stages. Training Stage, Underpass, Temple stages are usually not laggy and dont drop frames. All other stages do though.

Its a huge problem I face everytime I decide to do ranked on PS4. Endless isn’t as bad as people usually always pick training or underpass.

Wifi versus Wired connections, first of all how do you know what your opponents setup is second, graphics have nothing to do with online connections. If certain stages lag IE drop frames or have instances of slowdown, that’s a graphics engine problem it has nothing to do with online connections.

If those stages only lag versus some people online but don’t lag offline then it’s in your head. Or it’s simply a coincidence that you pick a certain stage and then get paired up with a lousy connected person.

Also I thought PS4 had either the best wifi or at least good wifi that was at least on par with the 360 slim model.

You make it sound like it’s an earned right to see a pixelated butt. Newsflash: Not everyone necessarily wants the butt slap. People being indifferent doesn’t make it some fake attitude; some of us genuinely could care less. If anything, it helps avoid a lot of awkward situations for the younger audience Capcom is going for this time around.

Like I mentioned with Juri. I’m worried about other games too. Like whenever Soul Calibur 6 happens, What are they gonna do about Taki? She’ll probably come back. (she didn’t die, the story just had her “off on a mission”) Intros like Cammy’s in SF4 aren’t allowed anymore? It doesn’t effect gameplay? What a buzzkill.

I don’t wanna see the fun stuff cut from future games. It seems like these changes get made because of the environment in the US where people bitch about how females are portayed in videogames. And I’ve never played any of the DOA Extreme games. But I like how the tecmo (whoever it is) guy’s straight up said “we don’t want to deal with American complaints about females in games”. I really appreciate the honesty. Those are not the exact words they spoke, but the english was poor.
