Even though I have stated this time and time again that this isn’t about “lolZ booties and buttz lol durr”, let me make myself perfectly crystal fuckin clear on this issue for the final time:
Dragons Crown. Incredible game. Incredible art from that fantastic developer. Absolutely absurd and frankly gross character design. The characters are deformed. And as much as I respect that developer I tried to wrap my head around those design choices again and again and just draw a blank each and every time. My final conclusion is that it’s an ironic statement to the absurdity over enlarged breasts and buttocks of female characters in video games. Though I don’t know that. That’s just something I would say if I was a fanboy of the dev trying to defend it. I would LIKE to think that’s the reason, but If you want my honest opinion I think the character designer is either insane or has some extreme fetish. It ruins what is otherwise a great game because you’ve got a witch with tits hanging down to her knees like a 90 year old porn star and a buns of steel woman whose ass looks like it could demolish the twin towers.
I also will not be importing fucking Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 nor do I think it’s “art”. You couldn’t pay me to play that and I don’t fucking get off to videogame women like I did when I was 12.

Do I agree with the change? I agree with them trying to make the game more inclusive and presentable as an e-sport, but if that’s the best attempt they can muster up they shouldn’t even have bothered. I thought the slap was fun and innocuous, and I wouldn’t mind having it back. I am, however, an adult so I don’t feel particularly compelled to throw a tantrum anytime something I don’t like happens. I also lack the arrogance to believe that everything in the world is meant to cater to me, and no one but me. Going full-on Don Quixote, starting petitions and trying to assemble a crack team of cretins is nothing short of embarrassing.
@ParryAll If wether it’s called censorship or not didn’t matter. Then why name the thread “SFV Censorship”? C’mon bruh. If the alteration of Mika’s CA was the main point. Then why not simply title the thread about that? And mainly discuss that? And not bring up censorship? I agree that the change is lame, and took some fun and personality from the move. And if that’s all we were discussing then that’d be the end of this discussion. But we all know it’s bigger than just that, hence why this thread has gone on for over 10 pages.

I think that’s their goal because they want to have SFV looked at as a Esport and what not. But they seem to be conflicted because look at all the fan service and what not they still included in the game from jump. It’s like they were making the game how they envisioned it, but then remembered. “Oh shit we need this to be presentable for the average person if we want this to be Esports”. But they were already too far into development to make such drastic changes. So they just removed whatever they could without fucking up the game. I.E Mika’s butt slap and Cammy’s original intro. At least that’s the way I see it.

I’d rather they add in the 1 or 2 extra hits you could get in Vanilla SF4 after the KO than add back in the buttslap. But if I recall, they actually did in fact remove that because people got their feelings hurt getting hit after the round ended. Pathetic.
