Pretty sure its everywhere, could be wrong tho 
they (Sony) should configure instances so that way each area works like chat rooms in the idea that you can intentionally join one of the available instances of the mall. So if that were to be a possibility, when one wants to participate in this event, they might know to join āmall 8ā or something. Just a thought to the Sony guy 
Also I heard about this event late (just now), but it seems interesting enough I just might consider it this weekend.
I just learned it got moved to Tuesdays 6pm PST. WHY?
Oh, no it didnāt. That was just a special E3 game launching event. It has nothing to do with the weekly gathering which is still on schedule for this Saturday
Thinking out loud for a moment, while this is a bad week to try anything different (E3, SBO qualifiers, ect), Iām going to start trying to mix it up in the next week or so with contests and the like. Iāll keep you all posted. Hope to see some of you folks tomorrow!

we could prolly make a sat night bracket on the forums with everyones psn id that way you know who your gonna play and then warp to their instance or somethin.

This is tonight, but Iām already going to be playing all day, prepping for the PNT San Jose tourney next week. Iām not totally sure I want to play even MORE SF4 after that

Hereās one way to make this event work better:
1: Create a PSN account whose sole purpose is to accept friend requests to regulars and to stay in a specific mall.
Why? So players can simply friend the PSN account (like SF4_Referee) and āGo Toā whatever mall that person happens to be in.
Itās annoying to walk out of the mall into Central Plaza, only to enter another empty mall, or re-enter the mall instance you just left.
If I had another PS3, Iād do this myself.
PS. It might be good to have maybe 3 of these, in case of overflowing.
That sounds like a pretty damn good idea.
Sorry I havenāt been around. Lack of Internet connection at home due to moving has had me out of commission on the weekends.
The problem with the dedicated PSN ID is that (1) thereās more than 100 people participating in these events so now itās an exclusive club and (2) since we have no dedicated SF4 space, weād fill up the maximum amount of people possible in the Mall. The Mall instances already tend to be close to capacity, so again, maybe 10 or so people make it through? Now itās an exclusive club again.
This will ensure that people will find others to play on this event. If necessary, we could have even 3-5 people that show up to this thing week after week and organize matches. Iāve yet to see more than 5 people at once seeking matches.
20 players in one area would be nice.
With co-operation from other players, a bigger network of SF players will be created.
At its current state, the turnout is small because people canāt find many matches.
Iāve had my ps3 for a while now and I didntā even know there was a mall feature on the system lol. but Iām gonna start useing it just for this,

Augh, sorry. I meant to post earlier and say that this week would be terrible. Our big Hamster vs Human dance-off was Saturday night and while we probably had the most traffic coming into Home ever, it was going to totally drive everything away from SF4 night 
And it sooooo did.

Okay, this event is most definitely back on with no overlapping events this week
Also, after seriously considering all the feedback, weāve gone ahead and created a special PSN account for people to follow in order to get into the same instances together. Itās a temporary solution for something better, but itāll help get things back on track.
Feel free to add āHome_SF4Nightā to your friends list. Just keep in mind that you wonāt actually be getting a response (other than accepting friend requests) and while in Home, you wonāt actually see this character. It should actually be quite seamless!

Just a reminder that despite 4th of July, this event will still be occurring. If anything, the Home_SF4Night PSN ID will get logged in a little earlier than usual.
And if you havenāt done so already, please send a friend request to Home_SF4Night if you wish to participate. Once you login to Home, check your friends list and use the āGo Toā ability on it. That way, everyone arrives in the same instance.
