SFIV in Tacoma now!

It’s a bar and Bowling Alley, so I think its open pretty late.

12:00 AM on most days. 2:00 AM on Friday Saturday and Monday.

Asked him what parts hes using. He said that he is using happ ultimate with concave buttons. But he said if the community prefer something else he would change it.I requested Happ comp and convex buttons.

Who is for sure showing up tonight?

I am. Mandel is. Mandel left already, I get off work at 7pm.

I just called them and was told “the machine is stuck in customs, check back Monday.” Could I have some confirmation from a reliable source that the machine is in fact up and running? I was gonna go tonight, but now have doubts.

I called right now, and the guy told me that they have it and it is up and running.

Im heading out now

So I was first to play this shit as soon as it went up. Setup is dual cabs, US sticks (I don’t know specifically, it’s the black textured tear-shaped kind, no clicky). I’m a little disappointed in the monitors since the graphics look badly aliased for some reason. I voiced my concerns, the guy insisted there were no settings, oh well who gives a shit, it’s SF4 bitch!

Sucks that I had to leave as soon as everyone started showing up, but I can already tell Abel is damn beastly. I’ll try to go back later tonight if I can.

LOL somebody hates you

what time did they hooked up the machine? Is it a $1 to play?

Went out there today, not that bad but the traffic sucks from Seattle. But buttons sucks (convex), and the setup has the buttons going in a upward slant with way to much space between the joystick and the buttons. But it is SF4, like the 5 place in the US with it?

I can’t believe a bowling alley can get this game but "Game"works can’t:rofl::rofl: what a joke of an establishment.

Machine was up and running around 12:30.

do you know if it has internet access and if they updated the board with akuma?

arcades without internet access can apparently unlock things through service mode codes. The machine in NYC has CPU Akuma unlocked.

Akuma boss is definitely in; I kicked his weak AI ass.

No idea on the internet access, but I doubt it. It’s a bowling alley, not an internet caf.

I assume that means its the latest build. The build at evo originally wasn’t the latest build. But then they just downloaded the update and bam it was… Good to know though.

I fucked up and forgot there was a bar there. Next time, loser takes a shot.

Good games my nigs. The game is fun, a little weird at times but nothing too gross. Best of all, it’s not 3S.

Good games everyone. I loved SFIV. I’ll post more of my thoughts later on, gotta get some sleep.

I have to make it out there.

To whoever is in contact with the techs at Narrows:

What is up with the screen? It looks like the game is displaying in the 4:3 ratio, but stretched out to fit the widescreen monitor. There should be an option to change to wide screen because the SFIV cabs at Evo looked proportional, these do not.

The buttons and sticks need to be swapped ASAP. I do not know who’s brilliant idea it was to try and emulate the japanese slanted button layout, but you should have just left it the American way AKA the best way: straight across. The stick at the bare minimum should be an Industria Lorenzo Euro stick, with Happ competition (convex) buttons. I would rather have a Happ Perfect 360 as the stick, but those tend to be iffy at times. Also, just because each cab can only have one player, that does not mean you need to use a all the space on the control panel. Had I Shaq sized arms this would not be a problem, but I do not like having to flex my pectoralis minor to execute a spinning pile driver. My arms are stretched out like I am flying a fucking kite or some shit.

If someone could relay this information I would greatly appreciate it.
