Ok, I patched my .51 rom from sfiii3n, and it works fine. But on 2df I need to have sfiii3n and sfiii3, and if I use sfiii3 and sfiii3n, as you said, it doesn’t work, as it loads .51 from the sfiii3 or something. So, I really wanna get it to work on 2df, is it possible?
I don’t know about Acidglow’s edits… I guess it’s a patch, right?
Well unless there’s a problem with acid’s patch, it should work fine on 2DF, just as our our own edits…
nothing special there, your sfiii3n rom has the 51 file, while the sfiii3 has just a bios (I think) or something, well, one file only and no 51 file.
so you only have to patch your sfiii3n and the other shouldn’t be a prob.
when on 2df, challenge/be challenged, after loading, an error message will pop up(telling you the emu noticed the file 51 wasn’t the expected size), just click “OK” or push enter on your keyboard (fast) and it will work fine.
Ok, I got it to work on nFBA and 2df, but it aint on my available list, I gotta find it manually every time I wanna play. I tried what you said at the start of the thread, but to no avail
bah, I don’t remember exactly, but try, and try again, restart nFBA… I couldn’t say for sure what made the game show up again on my list, but in the end it did…
All I can say is rubbish advice like : “patch your game, load manually, save settings, exit nFBA, restart nFBA, unpatcch your game, search for the rom, load, save settings, exit nFBA, restart nFBA, repatch your game…”
not so sure as I said, but after two/three times it should be back on your available list…
if someone has some less rubbish advice, it is welcome.
Ok, here is my first attempt at any palette. Decided to make that sick looking console only Gouki.
Basically, I opened the image in Paint.net, zoomed, used the color selector tool and then found out the colors R, G and B value in Paint.net, then applied it in Palmod, pretty tedious, but only took like 30 mins. Please tell me what you think of it and if you’re interested I will post the .act file
Still have to edit supers and stuff, and maybe his Ashura Senkuu
Yeah, until damdai or 0746 removes the CRC check for roms in the FBA source, manually is the only way.
It works without any manual tinkering online though, but like I said it gives a warning each time.
Btw I’m working on a site where we I’ll be uploading my edits for download, and you guys will be able to put yours there too if you want.
Not much is done yet…
ok nothing is done yet , but I’ll get round to it eventually.
Nice, I’ll give whatever contributions I can :woot:
Edit: Quick Question, can I change something back to the way it was without losing all my work? I changed Yun’s Genei Jin color and now I want it back to normal, without losing my other mods
"Pretty Colors, Bad Gameplay"
hey, you made me smile there…
well great news !
mmm not entierly sure what you meant :
well, we always have an error message unless 0746 or damdai fix that, but I do have SFIII3 in my available list despite it is heavily patched
… as I said, I never really figured out how I got it back under available, but after a few tries it was there and still is.
If you’re supa bored with the error message, you can fix that yourself if you’ve got some spare time.
I asked 0746 about it a while back, when I thought colour patches didn’t work (for some other reason my games had crashed) and he nicely provided some light codes modificaitons in the sources of nFBA (very light, only 3 values to mod).
The only hassle was recompiling the sources… which I didn’t (and still don’t) have time to bother with… especially since it works despite the error pop up.
If someone is interested, I can re-post 0746’s instructions.
Ramza, nice edits, looks cool !
for your gouki (and yang) check in frame advance mode if some ugly colours show up while he does some moves like… a forward throw or something… I think his gi’s shoulders hide two stray colours that show up on shoto’s shoulders/neck when they throw, but I’m not sure.
well, in a general manner, just play with your pal for a while to check for wrong colours
and yes, I’d like to have that gouki pal
wow i haven’t checked in for a while. threads been a little busy, gonna have to upload more palettes. hmm, didn’t know about paint.net either. gotta try that out
Ok, I don 't know how to do frame advance mode, but I did notice that when I dashback with my Gouki mod, his right leg shows the original colors. If anyone knows how to fix it, please tell me. Also, if you try and change Yun’s portrait, you get a messed up picture of Ryu’s! LMAO! Also, if anyone can tell me what all that crap is near the bottom of the mod list, like “Parry/Get Hit”, “Super(3)” and whatnot, cause its confusing
Anyway, I messed around with my Yun and I changed the EX moves to a Turquoise color, and the same with his Genei Jin. I wanna know is it good to change super shadows and EX to one whole color or to do a blend of a few colors? On my later mods I wanna do some cool EX and super shadow mods too. Anyway, I made a Urien Mod, a Yun mod and a Gouki mod
The Urien one is the console only Start + Forward
My Gouki one is based off the Start + Roundhouse
And my Yun mod is based off Yang’s MP costume
If anyone has any advice on what is best for EX shadows and super shadows, I’ll make some more mods which will be a bit better. Here are my first 3 mods anyway
Another quick question. If I save my paleete as an act file, do you only get that particular part? So, I uploaded my actual palette mods, will you get my EX shadows and portraits that I made for that?
just messing around with yang’s colors. what really sucks about the twins is that they have a lot of pixels that belong to the same color. they have extra color boxes that are not used so i don’t know why the developers didn’t split more colors. i wanted to make his shoes white but then the outline of his pants and some of his hair would also have to be white. oh well…
EveryFF yay! wicked!
(your alex’s thumbs & links are broken if you didn’t notice)
that’s a lots of good colours you have
Ramza, I have no time to check it myself, but here’s how you can fix your gouki :
first off, the advance frame mode I was bablin about is just push pause on the keyboard, then press f1 and the game advances frame by frame.
now, doing that, take a screenshot (F12) of your gouki backdashing, then open that in photoshop or another pics prog, then select the suspicious colour (using the magic Wand [W] or a selection tool [L or M]), copy/paste it to a new layer [ctrl+J], and then use the color modification, dont remember the name mmm but the shortcut is [ctrl+U] and change the colour to match the others.
Then, open palmod, and find the bad colour… you can do that easily by using the colour pick tool * in photoshop, it will give you the RGB values that you can fing in PALMOD
then, just change the RVB values in palmod to that of the new colours you made in photoshop.
yo
since I’ve been working a looooot these days, so I’m lazy today and I checked your pal Ramza, looks fixed, yes.
nice.
Ha I really appreciate the extra ken pals EveryFF… my eyes have been bleeding eversince I went on 2DF (since half the matches are/end up being VS ken)… it seems most Ken players have a crush on his uglier pals (Green Ken, Yellow Ken, Blue Ken… blargh)… that, or they’re trying to take advantage of the disturbance caused by these eye wrecking colours.
thanks for the extras!
