one question, how do i make it work for only Japanese version?
I upload the image to photobucket.com (it helps to crop first) and I upload the 51 file to rapidshare but you can also select all the boxes, then go to the top bar and COPY (Ctrl+C) then if you try to paste here, it ends up as a bunch of text, which anyone can copy and paste back into the boxes, does that make sense?
You can’t make the palettes work for only the Japanese version though, as the 51 file is shared by all versions and is the same (as far as I know).

Yes, I meant that whatever works for the Japanese version will work on the others as it’s not a seperate rom, so the region is basically just an option in the dipswitch menu.

What do you play it using? 2DF? that shouldn’t be the case, you should be able to load the game then just press the menu button when the game boots (I forget what it is). Why does it take an hour?
If you play using Mame you can load the game in Japanese mode from the start, but technically the game is just one game, not separate versions like in some cps2 games etc.

yes, what LET said, no matter what version of the game you’re running, the files should be in one folder only (say, the parent rom, or the most used version maybe… both work) and the other folders should have only a bios file in them.
Anyway, don’t use mame, it’s very outdated on “response” (hu? does it sound like english?) time, use FBA/FBA Shuffle /nFBA and none of these emulators do emulate the “copy from CD” thing that MAME does.
Hope I make sense.
Just to add, Mame does have that option too, but even with it it takes one or two minutes to initialise.
I think most would agree that NFBA is the best emulator to go with, yes?
If you find the right download batch, you don’t need to go through that hour every time. However, I can’t elaborate on that as there is strictly NO rom talk on this forum and I’m not in a hurry to get banned over disrespecting that rule.

It’s the 3 squares at the end I think… just look for the red ones and click the blink button 
CLOSE but no cigar, it has ONE or maybe TWO bits of the headband left, any idea where?
Your Hugos are impressively good LET, haven’t ever bothered editing him myself, but they all look really good !
Only the black hugo may use a bit of tweaking on his skin to get a bit more contrast, and MK,HK,EX are a question of taste, but they’re defenetly all good.
I love the others.
DarkS, if you think of getting rid of mame for 3S, use FBA Shuffle as it supports cheats for CPS3, and has an option to avoid checking the rom size.
nFBA was great by the time we didn’t have 2DF and GGPO, but now it’s not that useful anymore…
Just out of curiosity, does anyone recall if the input delay that was hardcoded into mame’s CPS3 drivers has been taken out only in nFBA or in all FBA versions (since FBA is based partly off mame’s stuff)?
If i remember well, three frames for MAME, only one for all FBA series…
just noticed those hugo’s, LET. i like them all but my least favorite is the one with white hair since he looks too similar to his existing palette. my favorite ones are the first one and the orange one. great job on those
Cheers guys, actually the orange one is my least fave out of those, I think I like the HK final fight style best, even though it’s basically just his regular EX with the saturation whacked up. I may re-do half of them quite differently, I def need to go back and change that black and white one though in some way as it’s pretty boring else. I’d be interested in seeing what you guys could use for him as your edits have a lot of character
To be honest, I’ve been looking at all of these and it seems all the ones I made a long time ago are all really flat shaded, so I gotta go back and re-do a whole bunch for sure.
I re-did Gouki earlier, some are obviously very similar to his regular colours but I wanted to keep a black, red, white purple etc. HK is supposed to be super turbo SF2 style Gouki.

If you’ve played SF4 you’ll know Gouki has some ace colours out of the 10 - so I tried to redo some of them for 3rd strike. I couldn’t decide on how to do colour 10 so I made an A version and a B version:
