There’s no point in kicking anyone out at this point. And when Super comes out it may ne improved. If not you can make that call then SAL.

I went 0-2 this week.

I was using my backup stick this week since my TE is in the shop. I really should have played some casuals before hand to get used to it again. Oh well. Deltron would have probably won anyway, but I would have ultra him through his fireballs at least twice. So it would have been closer at least. :lol:

I did capture all the matches, casuals as well with my new Matrox MXO2 Mini capture device. Once I get them uploaded I’ll let you know.

Also I make this prediction. Deltron will be champion soon. Depending on the number of weeks we have left of course.

Thanx for the results, MAD. Can’t help you with Rog nor Blanka as I personally struggle with those characters. Rog is especially tough, & IMO impossable to defeat when patiently turtling. As for Blanka, my best advice is to make him come after you. His rolls (horizontal & vertical) suffer if you are constantly moving back or jumping back. Same with Bison’s air attacks. But watch out for those annoyign cross-up vertical rolls.

I didn’t say I was going to remove any international players right now. And I appreciate you staying with the League. I will, as I always have, honor my commitment to you and the international community. Hell, I’ve been the biggest proponent of including the international players. We even sparred before & the lag was insignificant. Last nite, tho, was a different story. Nonetheless, congrats on the victory.

I am excited to see who wins the season ending SUPER BRAWL tournament. Everyone in the league will be included for the final event.

But let me make this clear: I have MADE NO COMMITMENT to anything beyond this season, including whether or not the SFCCL will have another season. It’s a personal choice that I have to make in the next couple of months. The majority of the time, I’ve have a great time running this League & meeting a lot of new, interesting people. While I will see this season thru to the end, I have made no promises to anyone beyond that. If there is to be another season of the SFCCL on SSFIV, changes will be made to make the League better. One of those changes I will consider is creating a separate, international section of the League. It’s something that has been discussed before, but I never seriously considered doing it for a couple of reasons.

But last nite game me some personal experience with the issue. I knew it was going to be a challenging match against you, ANAKIY2K. So I hope you can understand how frustrating the loss was for me considering what I had to deal with just to win the rounds that I did. It’s not fair to you nor me if I can’t give you my best shot b/c of the lag. This League was started for one & only one purpose: for fun.

  1. not all international players are bad and try switching host i know when i played djcaca he hosted first and it was 1 bar than i hosted and it was 3 bar so switch and test host first
    2)I am a blanka player so if u want casuals hit me up i think we might have fought along the way but i don’t mind spars here and there
    3)I think deltron will be champion as well he is my training partner and i only beat him SOMETIMES because i know his bad habits

So who won? I may have left early. I forgot about the third place match, but I’m not sure how wild made the brackets. Anyways I got my matches recorded. I’ll let you know when I put them up.

Hey SAL, just wanted to let you know that I have both 360 and PS3, and I pre-ordered SSFIV on the PS3 over the xbox although I always have better connections and a larger number of playable matches for SF4 on Xbox Live. I did this for one reason… The SFCCL! :lovin: You’ve been doing great, keep it up and I will support whatever changes you deem necessary to keep this going.

(If you decide to stop the league, then don’t buy SSFIV just yet, I’ll sell you my copy lol )

Man that was a top heavy bracket. I don’t mind though. I wanted to play those two guys anyway. GGs to you guys. I think Super4 will make these events hella easier to run in the future. But this one was pretty smooth. Good job Wild and congrats. :tup:

I am uploading them currently. I keep getting error messages from YouTube when uploading. Our recordings do not have sound, FYI. My match with Marcopolo177 did have sound as I got the proper amplifier for my Dazzle. I’ll post info about how to record matches for everyone this week via my blog.

I saw your comment on one of my videos on YouTube. I’m having all sorts of problems trying to post my videos. I recorded both of my weekly matches (vs. Anakiny2k & Marcopolo177 - great matches btw) as well as my two rounds in the SS tournament.

The videos seem to be recording OK with the S-Video connection via the Dazzle and distribution amplifier. However, I seem to be having major issues with uploading complete, video/audio synced vids to YouTube.

Samples:

The video skips at times on YouTube, and the audio is out of sync after a couple of seconds.

This video seems to be running 1.5 faster than normal. Also, after a few seconds, the audio is out of sync with the video.

The files for both of these videos on my HDD work fine, with the video not skipping and the audio in sync. So there must be an issue I’m having when uploading these videos to YouTube.

One last sample:

This was a match I recorded before I had the proper splitters or amplifier. Therefore, there is no sound. But the video should contain two complete, 5-round matches that last about 9 minutes total. But when I uploaded it to YouTube, the video is sped up after the 1st match and then stops mid-match after 4 minutes & 53 seconds.

WTF? Sped up video all of a sudden? Not uploading the complete 9 minute match? Perhaps I don’t have the proper settings in the Dazzle software when creating these videos, but something isn’t working right when I upload the vids to YouTube. All videos have been less than 10 minutes and less than 2 GBs. I even uploaded the 9-minute match two times, and both times it cut the video short when uploading to YouTube. However, all videos play normally on my computer & laptop.

The same issues occur on the Marcopolo177 videos you commented on, SBL. The video isn’t complete, and the audio is going double-time. I’m also getting a 50% success rate when uploading. Some videos don’t load and I simply get an “Error” message without any explaination as to why my video did not load. I retry, and then they do load to what is showing up with the video/audio & incomplete problems. I never had these problems when I posted videos straight from my digital camera. The Dazzle seems to be doing its job.

I have one more thing I’m going to try, but after that, I’m stumped. Any suggestions???

I don’t know enough about the Dazzle, but I’m sure there are some discussions on SRK about it. Do a search for Dazzle videos or something. If you have the ability to convert your videos to a different format before uploading to YouTube you should try that. YouTube likes H.264 and MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 If you can get your video to one of those standards, they should work fine. Maybe try to get the frame rate to 23.976 FPS. I use Pinnacle Studio 12 and Adobe Media Encoder CS4 to do my video conversions. I think a free one to try might be Windows Media Encoder. I’m kinda new to this stuff myself, so I hope this helps.

Latest trial & error:
Random Ranked match: [media=youtube]YSOWH4QOOZk"[/media]

Now, this video should be 2:25 long. When uploaded to YouTube, the video is only 2:20. At the beginning of the video, the audio is out of sync by about a second. By the time the final ‘KO’ flashes on the screen, the audio is about 5 seconds behind. Since the length of the video is 5 seconds shorter than the standard video on my HDD, I think my problem lies with the video speeding up when uploading to YouTube. I seemed to have corrected the audio problem.

I’m going to look at the settings in my Dazzle software and verify how the video is being captured. I also got rid of the S-Video connection, and switched to a composite cables. The quality difference is hardly noticable.

Back to League business…only 19 out of 79 matches have been played. And 2 of those 19 are mine! Not looking forward to the end of this week. This is probably the only reason why I don’t want to continue this League into SSFIV.
