I generally agree with you. I find the auto cross up in the corner to be . . . odd. At times annoying. There’s times when cornering yourself seems a really odd risk/reward situation. I suppose you could argue that it’s in the game, choose to use it knowing the risk or reward involved. On the other hand I like that in other games you can jump behind your opponent if they’re cornerd but are not able to perfom a cross-up.
I guess I’m not sure what I’d prefer: cornered is cornerd; corner cross-up’s; or position change no cross-up. Different games have differnt mechanics and they work for those games. And I have a love/hate realtionship with SF4’s cross-up mechanics.
Think of it this way: You play a charge character, your best jump in is also a cross up, you mess up spacing on a jump in by a few pixels in the SFIV engine. Now you’ve ambiguously crossed yourself up and also lost your charge. A corner should be a corner. To me it feels like it’s another ambiguity = false depth scenario in the game.
Don’t make SF5, just make SFA4, seeing as by the end of SF4, they basically turned it into Alpha 3.5 anyways.
All I care about, is any future fighting games need to have the ability to add DLC characters, without me needing to buy a new version of the game, a la Super/Ultra Street Fighter.
I haven’t played SF in about a year and a half now. But i don’t recall it having the option for the creator of a endless lobby to be a spectator only. SFxT had it, and i thought it was rather dope. I will be doing a lot of streaming this generation, so it will come in handy. That is my wish.
Yeah, I was thinking this too. I was watching a couple friends Ft5 the other day and it seemed like a feature that would make a lot of sense. It felt silly for us to have to wait for me to be skipped in the queue so that they could continue playing the set. Killer Instinct’s got it.
I’d like to see it take place after 3rd Strike, and with a unique final boss this time around. Would really like to see Karin, Birdie, Gill and Urien in. I’m guessing it’d most likely have a tournament based storyline, though I wouldn’t mind if it was similar to Alpha/3rd Strike with the characters all doing their own thing.
I want to see a character with 0 special moves. They use only normals, command normals, target combos and normal throws.
He’d get cool shit like overhead -> target combo -> launcher (like Abel’s cr.HP) -> jump cancel -> airthrow, and his backthrow would be a launcher like Gouken’s and he could follow up with a juggle chain.
He’d have an install super that gives him infinite juggle for a short time. His normal launcher would be super cancelable so he could go into A3 style juggles for like 5 seconds and finish with his airthrow.
Have you looked at the thread yet? People are talking about gameplay, characters, themes, and etc. Its just there is no reason for your thread to exist when the above thread is still open.
