Sf5 ps4pro 1.00 vs 2.04

Because the shadows are really disgusting on current PS4 , i hope for an upgrade at least.
Ideally a 1440p 60fps mode will be ok on 4k screen(if PS4 PRO can do it).

get the pc version when you care about 4k.
and what has the resolution to do with how the shadow look like?

Resolution is my personal wish , but PS4 PRO seem to be capable to enhance graphic…
I already have PC version , but all my friends are on PS4 , i own saison pass and some costumes + live seem better.

I really hope Capcom do something for PS4 PRO version , maybe SF5 will be automatically a better version.

No chance a PS4 Pro version will happen. They won’t waste time and money developing something for a console that no FG player has any reason to buy.

Yes they will. Upgrading the game for this hardware is essentially a higher PC setting.

I just hope they fix the lag, and yeah the shadows are hideous on PS4 they look like the old screen door “transparencies” on Saturn.

I am completing joking here, but imagine if PRO would automatically reduce console only input lag and make them on par with arcade versions. Does the vanilla PS4 perform identical to the arcade on all fighting games?

What arcade version?

If Capcom don’t upgrade SF5 Saison 1 for PS4 Pro , they will do it for Saison 2…

Don’t forget that Sony is behind SFV since the beginning and allegedly financed the project. It’s a console exclusive after all and still heavily associated with PS brand. I find hard to believe that Sony won’t pressure Capcom to make a PS4 Pro patch for SFV. Maybe it’s already in the works.

and we all know how it will turn out when it really happens…stats are still not fully integrated into the game…

CAPCOM, this is your chance for redemption.
Super Street Fighter V release…4k…featuring the story mode/DLC that all the casuals have no clue about.

Sony stopped giving money to Capcom a while ago already. And why would they push a game with such bad press anyway?
They would only do a Pro version if the console is successful in the market, otherwise they won’t do shit because it’s too much work for too low profit. Indeed, running the current game on a way more powerful machine is enough to make it load faster.
Fighting games aren’t what really benefits from 4k anyway.

Are they not a main sponsor of the CPT?

As someone that’s worked as a software engineer on commerical xbox/ps games for a large video game company I can tell you it’s not that simple. Yes it’s probably a few variables that need to get updated in code, however you then have to go through internal QA, and sony’s compliance testing. With the licensing deal sony has made I don’t know if they’ll waive it or not, but each title update you make you have to pay a substantial fee to Sony/Microsoft as well. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but Capcom won’t do it unless it will generate more sales because the cost is non-trivial.

look deeper into ps4 pro
enhanced picture and performance will be for only specific titles
not all titles

It’s not gonna happen

It has better specs properties (specifically the CPU of the Pro is overclocked, and the GPU is improved from an AMD Radeon 1.84 TFLOP to the AMD Radeon 4.20 TFLOP)… correct?

Unless the PS4 Pro specifically lowers the CPU clock speed whenever a normal PS4 game is running, I would imagine that the frame rate will be improved at the very least of expectations.

It could give good and bad turnouts for offline (TO problems and community savings in actually making PS4 Pro a thing is the negative side basically), and bad for online considering Capcom has some trouble understanding and acknowledging the syncing problems of their flawed netcode (having inconsistent frame rates would be more plausible on vanilla PS4, and since the syncing issue tends to favor the person that lags up the time-frame, the PS4 Pro could be at a disadvantage for online play).

I dont know if I just dont pay attention, or really care, but SFV looks fine on my PS4 and my TV. :i_dunno:

The shadows dont help me fight better, and hell, I dont complain about the frame lag either, but I would assume if anything would help me, it would be that and not resolution and shadows.

They might sponsor the tournaments, but I don’t think they’re giving any more money for the development.

What I got from the conference was that it “may” improve
BUT the game has to be made for the PS4 Pro
It doesn’t automatically improve or upscale existing games so don’t assume that once you buy this, all games you already own will have better quality/frame rate
The games have to be made compatible with it(through online patch or whatnot)
