Tonight’s session might actually go super late since the infamous Mackinzie will be coming along, or so I hear.
Currently we have quite a few pl;ayers.
Another great session last night, another one that went really late too. So late that it was still going on after I left!
The games of the night were SF4, VF5, and 3S (this started at like 3:30am).
It was also great meeting some new faces that do read SRK. David, Ronjo, and Matt B–it was great meeting you guys! I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get to know you guys better, but I hope you guys all continue to come out to Fight Night, PSU, and the tournaments. The scene always thrives with new faces, new talents, and the good personalities you guys brought last night!
If David hasn’t met Full Metal Ross yet, it’ll be interesting to see how he develops his C. Viper after a few sessions together. Ross does his research and training, I recommend not taking it for granted!

P.S. Because of how crazy fighting game players are… It sounds like a lot of people are planning to come out on Thursday next week, even though it’s the day before the big tourney. If that’s the case, then it’ll probably be ideal to mainly use 360s. if anyone wants to bring their SF4 360 copy, that would be great. Also, HD Remix on a memory card or HDD would be swell too!
i really need to get a job so i can have extra money every week for this…

No worries at all! We’ve all been there and the SF4 season is still early 
You’re playing a lot of new people and furthermore, you’re playing them offline which is a much faster and more difficult game than online.
I thought you were doing quite fine, but I certainly know how you feel–knowing you’re not playing your best game and you’re dealing with a lot of new factors like “other peoples’ controllers” and nerves.
The key to handling nerves is lots of practice, but not just private practice. It also means “lots of matches with tough opponents” and preferably offline. And then when it comes to tournaments, it means playing lots of tournaments because tournament matches are nothing like casual matches. Your opponents will play differently–some way better, some way worse–and for most people, nerves get jacked up in tournaments.
Nerves is also game specific, though proficiency at multiple games helps lower the effects or chances of nerves–practice with that specific game (SF4 in this case) is what helps the most. I have tons of nerves in SF4, very little nerves (outside of Tournament matches against Ray and National Level opponents) in VF5.
Anyways, you did great, keep on playing and your viper will be kicking more ass in no time.

So, any results on that tournament coming anytime soon? Can’t believe I had to miss it, but having to make money isn’t the worst alternative. Hope I make it out to this thursdays thing, but weekly obligations on thursday might stop me; how unfortunate =_=’ At least I can keep coming to PSU on Wed.s.

I will be there tomorrow. This will be my first time hanging out at Versis. I’m not very good but it sounds like it should be a fun time!
