Where exactly are you having the problem? It sounds like you are most likely chaining the last cr.jab and not linking it, and therefore cannot cancel it into tatsu? Try delaying the last cr.jab a bit.<br>

any hard knockdown combos or they only work after lk tatsu into sweep?

BNB FADC, sweep
and some char specific sweep stuff.

Hi guys, I’m trying to make a statistic regarding combos (all characters) and I need a little help. I need 2 combos per character:

  • Best BnB combo
  • Best punish combo
    It doesn’t matter how many bars uses, but it must work midscreen, on at least half the cast, at least standing, and it should be practical. No jump in/counterhit/Ultra/Super.
    Also, if the same combo is used as bnb and for punish, then I list only 1.

For now, what I’ve found is:

  • st.mp, st.mp xx lk tatsu, hp srk = 281 dmg
  • st.mp, cl.hp xx tatsu, srk = 321

Is there anything better ? Thank you.

I seriously doudt our cl.st.mp can link to anything. And I never saw an Akuma far mp canceled.

so Basic meterless bnb punish is
cl hp xx lk tatsu, srk
cr.mp, cl.hp xx lk tatsu SRK
xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx EX SRK
this last is the more used 1 bar.

cl.hp xx HK tatsu FADC cl HP xx Fireball FADC xx cl.HP lk tatsu SRK
best 4 bars “opponent must start crouched”. In case one more bar is built in the process then maybe an ex SRK at the end.

There’s also cl hp xx U2 …

What are the best hit confirm bnbs? I’m having trouble actually comboing in game, like I nail j.hk cl.hp xx lk tatsu hp srk all the time in training mode but 99% of my playing is online and one frame links are a dice roll with SFIV’s “amazing” netcode, so lp lp lp tatsu isn’t really that viable and neither is cr.lk cr.lp cr.mp

Do I really need to just grind 400 hours until I’ve learned all the safe-jump timings and baits to get in after a sweep? That doesn’t seem worth it especially with Ultra just around the corner…

learn to link the last normal before canceling to special (lp lp lp tatsu) and not chain it.
And yes, it takes ages online to achieve anything with Akuma. The worse is you’ll learn stupid things to achieve this. And finally be one of those random 15k + bp 3k+ PP players bored that play like they never saw a frame data.
Online wonderland : “If it works, it’s good”. Can’t really blame them.

I’m getting in there! Can’t wait for ultra’s online training mode, that should really help me getting good.

It’ll be nice to have an easily accessible spot where I can focus on landing combos during combat without managing resources/lifebars.
Besides that lp lp lp tatsu is something I can basically do in my sleep now, still having trouble getting combos online, even gimmick stuff like back throw, crossup j.mk, c.mk xx light tatsu, srk

Like that’s snooze-ville but online I guess I lose it.
Also I’ve recently gotten good at fierce xx tp xx u2 and jump roundhouse, fierce xx tp xx u2.

Now it’s just down to translating all this damage into the real world and I think I’ll be a reasonable contender.

Quick question… Can you link into Akuma’s c.HK from anything safe for the knockdown? (Like, does c.LP -> c.HK work? I can’t seem to get the timing on this if it does…)

standing lp into sweep works

Counter hit Far standing Hp or HK and crouching mp, lp works as well. Nothing else I don’t think though.

read the frame data, it’s pure math.

What does the first 3 digit number and the following 3 digit number in parenthesis mean?
